Minx and I took our repose in the house. It was one of the only places I felt completely at ease. It was safe......
"Lady Minx," I started. "I'm going up to bed."
"Ok," Lady Minx answered. "Night Tamex."
I walked up to a room and opened the door. It would be mine for the night....I sat down on the bed and changed out of the Organization cloak. I had been wearing it all this time even though I had technically left....or....."was killed".....I changed into some comfortable clothes and got into bed.
My eyes flashed open. I was completely tense. Every cell in my body screamed for a fight. Something was happening. In that instant I heard Lady Minx scream out. I rushed straight out of bed and towards the scream.
A large heartless was backing Lady Minx into a corner. She had placed a mirror in between her and it, but the heartless was beginning to break through. I summoned my wave scythe and slashed the creature to bits. It faded into the darkness where it had come, but it left a most distressed Minx.....
Minx didn't move....she didn't even put down her mirror. She sat in the corner with the mirror in front of her. I walked over and placed my hand on the mirror. I felt a shock as I was almost pulled into whatever the mirror was.....I pulled my hand away.
"Lady Minx.....Lady Minx, it's ok. The heartless is gone. Lady Minx put down your mirror...." I tried to console, but the mirror still remained.
"Why....why was it there??" Minx's frightened voice started after a while.
"Heartless are everywhere," I answered. "Lady Minx. Why are you so afraid?"
"Why was it here....why why.....why was it here...." Minx answered.
"Lady Minx are you going to put that mirror down or are you going to freeze yourself like that?" I asked.
She didn't answer, so I took her fear into my own hands. I tried to move the water in her cells but found that the mirror inhibited my power. I placed my hand on the floor and began tracing the water through the pipes and extra spacing. Soon enough, I got to Lady Minx. Slowly, I released calming natural sedatives from some vacuoles in Lady Minx's cells, and after a while the mirror began to fade and disappeared completely.
I took a breath in after I was done. Lady Minx was sleeping calmly.
That was a large heartless...... I thought to myself. but still....being a nobody, Lady Minx had nothing to fear from them.....and yet she was afraid......as if it was a built in fear.....
My thoughts trailed back to Verex. I wondered if he really did have a connection with Lady Minx. Then there was the matter of Triskix.....he shared something with Lady Minx as well.....maybe.....maybe I should pay Oblivion a hello......and see if I can't figure this out.....
I smirked to myself. Guess I can never get away from Mat's mind. I sat down fully on the floor and listened to early morning sounds........
