I'm not a Daycare service -_-'

I had tried to stop Kyxsha from her foolishness...but she had rushed off anyway.

"Fine then...go to your death." I mumbled completely dissatisfied. Xemmsur looked up at me with a sad face. "What? You can't stop a pig-headed girl on a mission...no matter what we would've said...she wouldn't have listened."

Looking back to the ground, Xemmsur seemed to accept this. "Well...thanks for trying anyway See ya Later Ximh..." She mumbled and went off on her way.

My gaze now turned to the small child before me...whimpering and nearly in tears. Kyxsha had just ditched her here...expecting ME to look after her...I am no child-sitter! What was this child called again? Um...L something....

"You there...what is your name?" I asked in a rather rough tone.

She quivered as she looked up at me. "...I....I'm Lucinde..." She was seriously going to cry...what was I supposed to do? I thought about taking her to the Leader and asking him...but I remembered I still had to talk with Hnoss so I walked off. Leaving her behind...she was NOT my responsibility. By order of the Leader, she was entrusted to the care of Kyxsha...and I wasn't any type of mother hen. >.>

Before I could grasp hold of my door, I glanced back...the child had followed me...and now stood staring. "What do you want?"

No answer. I sighed and opened the door.

"Magni...what's going on? It took you awhile to come back and...oh my!" Hnoss exclaimed walking up. "Magni...uh...."

"Kyxsha." I stated flatly. "She brought the child here...I've NO connection to it whatsoever."

"Kyxsha? Then pray tell...why has she left the girl alone?" Hnoss stated with a serious look plastered on her face.

"Oh, well apparently she's running a suicide errand. She's decided to take it upon herself to hunt down Zero...even against the wishes of the other Elite." I informed her. "The child seems to think I'll care for her...and has followed me...sorry to say...I'm not much for kind words or the caring of children."

At this Hnoss laughed. "You would think differently if they were your own children." I gave her a questionable glance, yet she continued. "If you will it...I'll look after this young one. I don't have to leave for another day...but Kyxsha had better return soon. Though, this means we'll have to delay our discussion once again. Harsh words are not meant for the ears of a child."

"....Kiki..." Lucinde mumbled, the tears started to finally fall.

"No crying!" I growled. Hnoss touched my arm and silenced me. She approached the little girl slowly.

"Hey now...it's alright. Lady Hnoss is here for you little one." She calmly soothed the child into submission with her gentle voice. She took her by the hand and brought her in my room. "How about I sing you a song? Would you like to hear a tale of my home?"

At this...there were results. The girl's face seemed to "light up"...as though she were anxious to hear such a song. I sighed and motioned to Hnoss that I was going out for some air. She smiled and nodded and as I closed the door I lingered a moment...just to hear a bit of that exquisite singing.

I portaled out to the courtyard, and almost immediately caught sight of a familiar face. Rexikat most likely had come to get some air, just as I had. I walked to her position and stood beside her as she gazed up at the moon.

"So Rex...what do you think about this whole plan?" I asked to start conversation. "Why do you think our 'Leader' always has to come up with ideas he KNOWS the others will reject?"
