Xraktos: Destorying my Mind

Leader

I breathed in sharply. A smiled curled across my lips. I had done it.....in such a short amount of time. I, Kratos the pactmaker of Gods and Demons, had done it. Twenty-Five full solid pacts revived. Twenty-five lives that now belonged to me....twenty-five lives I could now feed off of. Twenty-five new powers.........I smirked to myself. A laughed was running through me. And I couldn't stop it. I laughed. And the echoes of the laugh reverberated on the walls of my tower. Deep cynical jeers of joy.......

"Having fun Xraktos?" a voice asked.

I turned sharply around. I sensed him immediately. My lips curled.

"Hello Xerebus," I smiled. "Now this is a pleasure.....come to see my power? Come to see what I have done?"

Xerebus didn't move from his stance. His back was resting up against the back wall, but I couldn't see.....any more.......

"Xraktos," Xerebus said. His voice had a ring to it that made me want to tear out his vocal chords. "What do you plan to do?"

"Xerebus," I answered smiling. "I plan to kill you."

Xerebus didn't move. We both stood facing each other. Neither of us breathed.

"Kill me?" Xerebus asked. "Kill a god?"

"You are not," I answered. "I am more of a god than you are now."

"You wretched mortal," Xerebus growled. "You are a bastard to your kind. Tearing away my Martel, tearing away my sister. And then killing her. Killing MY sister. And then telling me you would kill me?"

"Shut your mouth," I answered. "She was never yours. Martel chose to be mine. She chose to love me. And you are the one who killed her. You Are the one that banished her to the heathen of "WHERE NOTHINGNESS FADES"!"

"Liar!" Xerebus shot back. "You are the one who's attack ender her life!"

"You are the liar!" I answered. "It was your attack that sent her to her grave!"

Neither of us moved. Neither of us breathed. All that was in the air was hate. It filled every crack and crevis on the room. HATE. I loathed him. Xerebus. The man that took my Martel away.

"Why are you here?" I glared. "We decided long ago that whoever got to Martel first would be the one to keep her."

".........." was the answer I got.

I slipped quietly into Xerebus's open consciousness, but I was instantly thrown out.

"Don't even try Xraktos," Xerebus glared. "I am not weak."

"Well why are you here Xerebus?" I taunted.

"Xraktos," Xerebus started. "The machine you have created.........."

"Yes," I answered smirking. "So the turth comes out. You want to steal my machine and revive her for yourself."

"Xraktos," Xerebus answered. "Martel.......no matter which of us revives her......she must come back. She is the goddess of hope.....she must come back....I no longer care.............."

"Then leave," I answered. "Leave now and let me revive her. Go away and never come back! Let Martel and I be happy!"

"But she is my sister," Xerebus answered. "And I have sworn before to revive her."

"So what?" I asked. "What are you planning?"

"I...............will giving you Zero," Xerebus answered. "To power your machine.... will give you all of them. To bring Martel back.....and then I will leave. I will disappear. I will never come back......I just want to see her come back......"

I felt my face light up.

"And you will disappear?" I asked. "You will leave us in peace?"

Xerebus ssent an image of pain towards my mind. He was hurting........

"Yes........." he finally answered. "To see my sister come back........"

"Selling out your entire Organization to get one glimpse of Martel......I can understand that," I answered. "You have a deal Xerebus.....Bring me them. Bring me your Organization......."
