Ouran High School Host Club is one of my most favorite animes. It's not only because of the bishies(hell, I'm a certified fangirl, so this is to be expected) , but also because of the quality of the anime.
Ouran is one anime that one can't get enough of. I've watched it several times, meaning I know each sequence, each line, etc. but still, it manages to make me watch again, and again and again...
Anyway, so what is Ouran High School Host Club all about? Well, Ouran is actually a school for the elite in the anime, and middle-class Haruhi Fujioka was quite fortunate to enter it-or was she? For just shortly after her acceptance to the school, she broke a vase worth 8 million yen belonging to the group of the school's most handsome and wealthiest students, the Ouran High School Host Club! She must work since then to as their dog, but would have been simpler for Haruhi if the had situation stayed this way, but then the Host Club Members discover she's a girl(yup, she's mistaken as a boy because of his appearance), and chaos ensues.
The series, spanning 26 chapters, is one comedic episode after another. But it's not just for laughs, it has elements of romance, friendship and drama, too!
This anime was derived fromm the manga with the same title by Bisco Hatori, serialized in Hakusensha's LaLa magazine since August 5, 2003. Almost all of the episodes are adapted from here, but sadly, the manga was left unfinished, just when Tamaki and Haruhi are staring to realize their feelings for each other, too!
Now, on with the soundtracks! The opening song, Sakura Kiss, is a very lively song, truly a candy to the ears if you love J-pop. Shissou is quite nice too, fast-paced and upbeat.
