If you like Ouran High School Host Club, I know another anime that you would love, Special A!
Special A is a 24-episode anime that was derived from a manga with the same title by Maki Minami. It tells of the story of Hikari Hanazono who persistently tries to beat her rival, Kei Takeshima, in any possible way.
Special A is actually a section in their school where only the top seven students to enter. Kei is on top, with Hikari following in close second. The third is Jun Yamamoto, a boy with dual personality, followed by his elder sister, Megumi Yamamoto, a girl with a really powerful voice. The fifth is Tadashi Karino, a very adventurous lad, followed by Akira Toudou, a lover of cute girls(even though being one herself), and last but not the least, Ryuu Tsuji, the animal lover.
What makes this anime different from typical school life anime is because the extremity of the rivalry between the two main characters. You would be astounded by their superhuman feats in simple things such as high jumps(what am I saying? This is anime, so anything can be possible!). It's quite amusing also that since the start of the series, it's obvious that Kei likes Hikari, and there are instances that seems to imply that Hikari realizes it too, only to found out in the end that it was all a misunderstanding.
Overall, Special A is a very nice anime if you're looking for some light romance and comedy. It has the nice fairytale ending that Ouran lacked, and was also able to present the stories of all the characters well. Why don't you watch it and judge for yourself? I'll be welcoming your opinions!
