KXO has officially announced that it will hold the FIBA 3x3 Challenger for four consecutive years until 2026 in Korea. KXO (Korea 3x3 Basketball Federation), which has been steadily working to develop 3x3 in Korea since its foundation in 2019, hosted the FIBA 3x3 Hongcheon Challenger 2023, the only 3x3 international competition in Korea last year. It is significant that FIBA 3x3 Challenger will be held in Korea continuously until 2026. South Korea, which has always stayed on the periphery on the international stage due to lack of experience in international competitions, will be able to gain great strength in securing FIBA 3x3 national ranking points as well as improving the experience of international competitions through continuous challengers held in Korea.
In particular, KXO has also prepared various measures to give as many points as possible to 3x3 players in Korea by holding consecutive FIBA 3x3 Challengers and improving the level of the KXO League's competition and securing light quest tickets that qualify for overseas Challengers.
This is also the will to secure as many points as possible this year with KXO's efforts to play in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup, which has not played since 2019, and to challenge to play in the FIBA 3x3 World Cup in 2025.
