New Hampshire Casino Wins Business of the Year Award

Brook, the largest charitable casino in the U.S. located minutes from the New Hampshire-Massachusetts border, was named "Business of the Year" by the Hampton Regional Chamber of Commerce last week.

The Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce honored The Brook at an annual awards dinner held Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Blue Ocean Event Center in Salisbury, Massachusetts, together with Chamber of Commerce President John Nihan. CEO Andre Carrier accepted the award on behalf of The Brook and its more than 200 employee owners.

"From the beginning, one of our goals has been to show this community that people and interests can not only coexist, they can prosper, and we're grateful to the Chamber of Commerce for acknowledging that," said Carrier, who is also CEO of parent company Eureka Casino Resort in Nevada, the only 100% employee hospitality company owned by more than 700 team members in the U.S.

As well as creating hundreds of new jobs since completing millions of dollars in refresh and renovation on the 75-acre site formerly known as Seabrook Park, The Brook, which uses a charitable casino model, has donated more than $8 million to local organizations in circulation over the past four years.

"Brook shows an overall knowledge of how important employees are because they are employee-owned," said Nihan. "We encourage not only businessmen, but also all employees of the business to be members of the Chamber of Commerce… Brooke gives back. They give back thousands, thousands of dollars to coastal communities."

Carrier said, "When my business partner (Gregory Lee) and I took this opportunity in New Hampshire, it was because it was a charity casino in the state we grew up in and loved.

"Since then, we've spent tens of millions of dollars on what's become a passion project. This year, we're already on pace to raise more than $500,000 a month for essential charities. And as a 100% employee-owned company, we've been able to pay higher than the market, deliver lower-cost benefits and fully funded retirement plans."

Other local business awards winners for the ceremony were Cinnamon Rainbow Surf Company (belief in the future), North Hampton Business Association (Presidential Award) and Lisa Parker (Humanitarian Award), a volunteer at st Vincent de Paul Community Kitchen. 바카라사이트 추천
