I woke up to silent footsteps creeping away. I just ignored it and went back to sleep.

The next time I woke up I couldn't fall back asleep. Since our group never did decide on a night watch, I might as well get some time in.
When my eyes adjusted to the light of the moon, I found out that our camp suddenly very small. I looked around me. If I recall correctly their were 7 people in our camp. Only 4 were present.
I looked at the sleeping faces that WERE here. Airi, Misaki, Matoko and me.

I looked up at the sky. Clouds were passing over head. I figured it was around 3:00 in the morning. I went over to a Misaki and touched her shoulder. She woke up just like that. She looked around the camp and nodded understanding that people were gone. Matoko was easy to wake up too. But when I went over to Airi and shook her shoulder. She punched me in the face and jumped up.
"WAH!!!!!" I went sprawling. "MY BEAUTIFUL FACE!!!!" Airi rubbed her eyes.
"Why are you on the ground, Oz" She yawned.
"YOU FRIGGIN PUNCHED ME IN YOUR SLEEP!" She stretched.
"You shouldn't have woken me up then." She finally looked around our camp. "Where did everyone go."
"We don't know." Matoko said.
"Look what I found!~" Misaki sang. She was over by a tree stump. "Bason carved in her saying he was heading north. Going to fulfill his spirits wish. Aoi and Aibori probaly followed him" Everyone nodded.
"Sounds reasonable. So which way did they go?"
"This way" Misaki said.
"How do you know?" Matoko asked.
"They're footprints up the path. A lot of them." I looked where she was pointing. I couldn't see anything in the darkness so I just shrugged.
"Lead the way, oh Miss Misa~" She smiled and led us to a forest. We wandered a bit untill we heard some voiced.
"Isn't it cute?!"
"Yeah! We should teach it some tricks!"
"Its not a dog."

As we stepped through we saw a wierd sight. A bleeding Bason was on the floor while Aoi and Aibori were playing with the wierdest animal I ever saw.

Airi ran to Bason with Misaki and Matoko and I went to Aibori and Aoi.

"What the heck are you guys doing???"
