I turned around ever so quickly that if I had lost my ballance, I would of cracked some skull. A solemn face of Devan the Spirit of Darkness stood before me. I felt like bowing or kneeling or kissing cheecks or somekind of way to show his grace, but instead I just stood there like a lamp.
"Devan! You really need to tell me when you are coming and going!" Misaki yelled, a bit taken back as well, but more used to it.
"Hehe, sorry there, Misaki!" Devan spilled a laugh that was uncomfortable and tense. "Why don't you guys take a seat? I might as well educate you about yourself, Neumi."
We were all well seated and I felt a little comfty. A little. Now Devan began to speak.
"Now, what you know is that most 'basic' spirits are born from the stars, coming from holy and lawful places. While you Neumi, being the most recent spirit to arrive here, were pledged to have high standerds. But it was not the case when we learned that you were to come out of the Womb of the World-
"Womb of the World?" Misaki asked.
"You're from there, Misaki. What you call 'earth'." Devan awsered and continued on.
"When the rest of the spirits learned that you were to come out of the Womb of the World, they were angered, some even wanted to go into an 'inactive' state. I do not know what caused them such displeasement, that is their own reasons, but I thought this was wonderful. There has never been a half-human, half-spirit spirit before! I thought this was wonderful! I saw you destined to be a ruin and building expert, but the others resisted. I went ahead at my own risk to show you all the modern building of you time."
He motioned to the ruin we were in.
"And then you finally came, and how wonderful that was! The others, dispite their voice, showed much hate and resentment towards you. I found out later in the years after that the other spirits had held a small council about what to do with you. They had deemed you unfit for lead duing to be posioned from the Orgional Sin that Adam and Eve hold, since you are half-human. I ran off with you to show you at least a few of the buildings before the others could take you, but eventually they caught you. They burried you in that glacier and stripped me of some powers, hence my shorted horns."
