If you are here it's most likely because you have a craving to solve mysteries: the weird and unexplained. In this world, you can be whomever you like, but you are a paranormal researcher of some sort: ghost hunter, spiritualist, exorcist, medium, a priestess, etc. Use your imagination. The sky is the limit.
You were called to a certain town (along with a bunch of others) to get rid of ghosts that are plaguing a school. From there, you all join up and end up going around together to solve the paranormal mysteries of the world.

Name: Nino
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Hair color: midnight blue
Hair style: it crops at the back of his neck but actually extends longer in the front
Eye color: dark blue to the point his eyes appear black
Looks: Nino has a very sharp face and angular features. He is pale, and the fact that his hair is so dark makes for a strange contrast with his other features. He wears sunglasses on occasion. However, for the most part, he leaves his shades up on his head giving his hair more of a messed up look. He wears a black leather jacket and usually a black undershirt. His pants are usually dark blue and have several chains hanging off of them. His shoes are usually boots that consist of black leather and steel toes. Just inside his jacket, Nino has a spirit gun that if he chooses to fire it will banish a ghost.
Personality: Cold and ruthless to spirits, Nino tends to treat people with a distanced format in which he tends to either ignore people completely or scold them for being blind to things that they can't possibly begin to understand. At first glance, Nino appears to be somewhat heartless, but after he begins to befriend you, Nino shows somewhat of a more calm side. However, he doesn't ever really show complete emotion and prefers to still stay behind a wall of lack emotion.
Background: Raised in both a ghost hunter and shamanistic family, Nino became the focal point of a lot of contravercy in his family. The shaman part of the family wished for Nino to be raised and taught to be harmonic with spirits, and yet the ghost hunters were in complete opposition to this and wanted to 'send the ghosts on to the aftherlife' rather than anything else. However, his parents remained neutral with it all and wanted Nino to grow up and chose his own ways in life. Learning from both sides of the family and understanding both circumstances, Nino leaned more towards the shamanistic side until one day he was attacked by a ghost trying to take over his own body on his thirteenth birthday. With a force of wills beyond all comparison, Nino forced the spirit out of his body by himself and began to resent spirits. Wishing to banish them all, Nino began to use his shamanistic powers to banish spirits. He even managed to create a shamanistic medium, his gun, and developed it into a full weapon to fight ghosts with. Leaving his family at the age of fifteen, Nino has traveled and hunter ghosts ever since.

Name: Emiko Suihara
Age: 17
Looks: long, curly red hair and blue eyes. She is very tall and slender. She has the perfect body, olive colored skin. Likes to wear black (Not Goth) but it blends in at night if she needs to do some sneaking around
Personality: Keeps a lot of her thoughts to herself, but she is very blunt when talking to people. She doesn't usually tend to sugar coat anything. She may come off as a jerk, but she really does care about her friends and the well being of others
Background: She graduated high school when she was 15 because she took a lot of classes over the summer to earn enough credits to graduate early. Her parents kicked her out when she told them what she wanted to go into
Expertise: Hunts any paranormal activity, though she herself has some awesome abilities. She is able to see spirits, exercise them, she has some ESP abilities of her own: clairvoyance and telekinesis
Family: Parents are prestigious doctors, but want nothing to do with her anymore. She was an only child
Anything else exciting that we need to know: She doesn't get close to people very easily, and she doesn't let people know about her abilities. So, they think she is a normal every day human

Age: looks 16, actually A LOT older (by a few thousands of years...)
Looks: Long black hair, extremely pale, dark eyes that turn red at times. Very beautiful to most. Her teeth are sparkling white, with a bit of long canines (that grow longer...)
Personality: Very independent. Doesn't really care what others think about her. very nice around her friends, though. Just don't PO her...
Background: Born in a small town in Brittan during the Medieval times. As a child, she and her mother were accused of being witches, and were (attempted to be drowned.) She was saved, just barely, by a vampire pitting her existence. The only way to avoid her sure death was to make her a vampire. She despised her being and the man for the rest of her long life. She is now out to hunt down other paranormal beings, especially vampires, and eliminate them.
Expertise: mostly vampire hunter, but also does some other late night jobs.
Family: Mother (deceased), no other known relatives
Anything else exciting that we need to know: Cannot take specific "day" jobs. Has been working on her tracking, and is very good at locating being, souls, etc. by what species they are. She's like Buffy! xD And then she staked Edward, the end... *shot* Tries not to drink blood unless the person is about to die anyway, or if it is from a blood bank, animal, etc.
