Setting Up

After leaving the principle's office, we headed back to the van to grab some the equipment. We needed to set up base and get settled in. I glanced at Ryuu and smiled when he looked up. How I loved making him participate in the schools we investigated in. It was highly entertaining.

How I loved getting him a hard time. I was glad we were close as friends, otherwise I wondered how he would take it. I shrugged as I handed some stuff off to Ryuu. I grabbed a bunch of cameras and went on ahead to go find a place to set up base. Besides, it wasn't like he was the only one that would be working. I would be monitoring everything even during the day, using my own abilities to do what I could.

I turned a corner, and found an empty room. This would do nicely. I nodded to myself as I set the equipment on the table. I could sense the spirits clearly around me, and when we had entered. As I turned to go back outside, I came face to face with a spirit. It was a young student by the look of things. It reached out and touched my face, but it just went through me.

"Sensei?" it whispered.

I frowned. It thought I was its sensei? Did I resemble someone, maybe? "You could give us a hand, Em!" Ryuu called out, snapping me out of the staring contest the ghost and I were having. When Ryuu's form entered the room, the ghost vanished up through the ceiling.

I sighed. "Dummy! I was getting highly needed information from a source!" I huffed as I walked over and grabbed the equipment out of his hands a bit too hostilely.

"Jeez, what's your problem?" he asked me, furrowing his brows.

"Nothing," I snapped as I put the equipment on the table.

I sighed. I really did need to control my temper more. I was getting a little out of control. "Sorry," I mumbled as I went back to the van to grab the other stuff. I wondered when the other people were going to arrive. They were going to have to work on their own. I didn't do well with team. It was hard enough with Ryuu and now Aisling.
