I watched her storm out of the room. “This is going to be a long night.” I sighed dragging my feet as I left the room.
“Alright now lets get all the lights turned off.” Emiko stated.
“Yes ma’am.” I chuckled quickly getting out of the room.
I was heading towards the janitors room where the panel box was when all the lights just shut off.
“Well that just cut my job in half.” I muttered to my self turning around to head back to the home base.
It just seemed really quiet ghosts kept peeking around corners at me but never came close. I wonder if they knew I could see them. I’ve liked walking in the dark. I couldn’t figure out if it was because I was half blind or that I had better sense of where I was going in the dark.
I came back to home base and Em and Aisling were waiting for me.
“Ryuu take the second floor and Aisling and I will rotate on coming up there to help out.” She ordered.
“Okay fine.” I huffed taking a walky talky made my way out of the room then stopped in the door way. “I do have school in the morning you know.” I reminded her.
“I know you’ve dealt with this before I know you can handle normal time.” Em laughed.
I just walked off. It wasn’t the bad going up stairs in the dark. The school had windows at the top of the steps so the moon light lit up the stair case.
There was a girl waiting at the top of the stairs. The moon light gleamed through her and I stopped right in front of her.
“Hello.” I greeted happily. I’ve learn not to ask ghosts about how they were doing today because I got a response like “I’m dead you moron how do you think I’m doing?” Or something along that line.
“You can see me?” Her voice was quiet to the point where any normal person couldn’t hear her.
She had long light brown hair and was wearing a school uniform. She was actually quite pretty for a ghost that is. But before I could answer her question she disappeared and I was hit in the face by a beam from a flash light.
“Sorry kid.” It was the guy from earlier.
“Who are you?” I asked blocking the beam from my good eye.
“Nino and yours?” He didn’t seem like the kind of person that people would hang out with also he smelled like cigarette smoke. He seemed to blend in with the background.
“I’m Ryuu.”
