A litlle talk

“Hello?” My voice echoed back to me. “Wow do I really have nothing going through my mind when I’m asleep?” I muttered to the darkness around me.
A bright light blinded me one second and then the next it was gone. When I uncovered my eyes to see what it was I saw a jagged fragment faintly glowing and floating just a few feet away from me.
“What is this?” I reached out to touch it and it dissolved into dust and disappeared.
“Now don’t tell anyone about that.” My fathers’ voice echoed around me.
“What is it?” I asked looking around for him.
“It’s a very important piece to a puzzle.” He answered coming out of the shadows.
“Does this have something to do with what Nino is looking for?” I probably sounded like a little kid asking so many questions.
“You could say that.” He laughed gently like he used to.
“What about mom?” The thought about mom snapped into my mind.
“She had no regrets about what she had done with her life so she passed on.” He explained.
“But why didn’t you tell me?” I questioned
“Well telling your son that you’re a demon lord isn’t exactly something that you just shout to the world.” He rubbed to back of his neck and looked away from me. He always did that when he had a difficult question to answer.
“Right.” I sighed running my fingers threw my hair.
“Now it’s my turn to ask a question son.” He said “Why did you protect him tonight?”
“It’s an instinct to protect someone. Even though he kicked my @ss earlier today.” I replied a bit ashamed of the last part of my sentence.
“The only reason he beat you is because all your life you’ve only known one half of your spiritual pressure. If you can find the other half you’ll be able to bet him in a fight.” He smiled at me. He rustled my hair and the started walking away. “I’ll seem you; and remember it’s a secret.” Then he disappeared.
“Look he’s coming to.” I heard what sounded like Em say. “Nino set him down.”
I felt my body slowly be lowered to the ground and leaned against a wall.
I completely opened my eyes and a fairy looking thing flew up out of nowhere and I slammed my head back into a locker because of the damn thing.
“Ow my head.” I groaned clutching the back of my head the brought my knees up to my chest.
“Puck don’t do that.” Aisling ordered the little fairy.
“Damn it that hurts.” I muttered finally letting go of my head. “What was that for?” I semi shouted at the little thing called Puck.
“Brant was right you reek of devils.” Puck said sticking his tongue out at me.
“Puck…now.” Aisling demanded.
Puck flew away from my and sat down on Aisling’s shoulder.
“Stop arguing with the fairy and get your hair out of your face.” Em ordered kneeling down in front of me.
I sighed and held my bangs out from in front of my right eye. She pulled out a pen from her pocket and stuck it in front of my face.
“You know the drill follow the pen.” She told me.
I did what I was told. And she when in the same pattern that she always did.
“Why doesn’t his right eye move with the pen?” The girl from earlier asked.
“It’s because I’m legally blind in my right eye.” I answered as Emiko put her pen away.
“Quick reaction test.” She whipped out her mini flash light and shined it in my eyes.
“Ah Emiko don’t do that.” I groaned rubbing my eyes.
“Hey I told you it was a reaction test and your reaction time to it is still as slow as normal so you pass.” She smirked.
I blinked a few times “Great now I have purple blotches in my eye.” I grumbled.
“By the way we didn’t get properly introduced earlier I’m Hazel and this is my partner Charleston.” The girl greeted.
“Hello.” I replied.
Charleston backed away from me a few steps.
“And I’m Matsu; it’s a pleasure to meet you.” The white haired teen acquainted.
“Well it looks like someone else is coming too as well.” He shifting his gaze down to the girl that was rest her head on his leg.
