-Emiko-
Why was she here? To torture me some more? Elliana was unconscious, so I turned to Ryuu to make sure he was ok. After I deemed him fine, I patted him on the shoulder. "Don't be so reckless next time!"
He shook his head at me and his gaze fell on my knocked out cousin. He frowned, unaware of whom she was. I never had introduced him to any of my family members. He knew how badly we got along, so he never pried me for information about them. I looked away, angrily. I didn't want anything to do with my cousin, and she with me. What purpose did she have with me.
Ryuu glanced back up at me, "Em?" he asked when he saw my pained expression.
I shook my head and looked away. I didn't really want to get into it now, but if she woke up, it wouldn't be pretty. "She's my cousin," I replied after a short pause.
Ryuu seemed to understand right away. But there was little he could do as Elle seemed to be waking up. She started hugging MAtsu, half asleep as she came to. When she opened her eyes, she found herself face to face with a startled MAtsu. Shoving him away, she nearly fell dizzily, but she fell into Nino.
"A headache is common," he muttered towards her as she held her head and groaned. He pushed her down on the floor and told her not to stand up right away.
I didn't want to start anything right now, so I looked away from her. She was going to cause trouble, I could feel it. Whatever her reason for coming here was, I knew I wasn't going to like it.
-Elliana-
"Ow," I groaned, rubbing my temples as I tried to massage the pain out of my head. I tried to remember what had happened, and came up blank. I looked up and caught sight of the target. She had done it, didn't she? She was always trying to hurt me physically and mentally.
I narrowed my eyes, "What did you do to me?" I snapped at her.
Her head snapped in my direction, her eyes filled with anger and pain. "What are you talking about? You were unconscious when I got here."
I huffed as the memories flooded back. Oh right. Wait, a spirit had possessed me. But, ghosts weren't real. No, it was just a dream. It was too preposterous to even think about. I couldn't admit it was real; I refused.
"What are you doing here? This isn't a place for delicate dolls to be loitering around," Emiko smirked down at me.
I glared at her, standing up. Ignoring the pain, I got up in her face. "I'm only here to deliver a message. No worries about me getting in the way of your little slumber party here."
"How did you even find me?"
I shrugged, "I have some friends in high places." It was a good thing I was rich. "Of course, you would know all about that, now would you? Oh wait, no, you don't have money since you were banished from the family name? How does it feel to be out on your own? It's what you have always wanted."
Her eyes flared with anger. "I didn't ask to be kicked out. We can't all be as spoiled and prissy as you!" she retorted angrily.
"Now now!" came a light haired young guy's voice. I recognized him as the one I had woken up to. I didn't recall a name. Emiko and I both crossed our arms and looked away from each other. The guy sighed. "Why are you here..." he trailed off, wanting to know my name.
"I'm Elliana. Call me Elle. And I'm here because my family thought it would be the right thing to let you know an important piece of information. But, I don't think you quite deserve it," I glared at Emiko.
She seemed startled at the part about my family wanting her to know something, especially since we had cut all ties with her when she had pursued this silly business of hers. "What is it?" her voice got soft. "What's wrong?"
I guess, it was only logical that she conclude it to be something horrible, as why else would I be here. My gaze softened as I looked at her. I truly pitied her. "It's your mum. She died a few weeks ago. The funeral was last Wednesday."
Emiko's eyes glazed over, but she did not cry. I saw the moisture try to bring its way forth, but Emiko held it back. "Oh. I see. Well, thanks for telling me." She looked down at the ground.
Some other kid, whom I didn't know, reached out to her, but she pulled away, walking down the hall. A young girl, also someone I didn't know, called out to her, but she didn't even look behind her. She pushed passed the dark haired man I had bumped into.
I sighed. Well, my job here was done. Might as well leave. I didn't want to be part of this. As I headed for the exit, the doors slammed shut, and I was unable to go anywhere.
