Stolen power

I walked back in to the school. I knew there was students there but I thought I would have a quick look round. I had found a good place to sleep last night. I had picked up a fair bit of money on my last job so I had spare cash. I took a quick look round, trying to sense for any paranormal powers. I located five, all grouped together. From what I could tell there were 4 humans with supernatural powers and a ghost. How much trouble could it be to take after one ghost? I asked myself. They are trained experts after all aren't they? I decided to let them handle the ghost but see if they had seen or sensed any demons about. I wasn't going to worry about any ghosts. Not my area. I turned a corner, spotting the people I had sensed. I couldn't see the ghost, but I knew where it was, because it's power all radiated from the same spot. I frowned, wondering why the rest didn't seem to be caring that there was a ghost amongst them.

"Hi" I said, finally reaching them. I lent in a little so as not to be heard by any students. "Seen any demons around?" I said quietly. One of the young girls looked at me and I could sense that she could see ghosts. I borrowed her power for a second, for some reason I wanted to see this ghost I could sense. I breathed in for second and looked directly at the ghost. He looked surprised that I could see him when before I couldn't. Not really to my surprise with the lack of fighting, this ghost, a boy, looked harmless. I smiled for a brief second at him before giving the young girl back her power. She stared at me. I don't think anyone had ever stolen her power before. I was having to much fun to be healthy right now. I realised then that nobody had answered my question or said hello back.

“You know that if someone says something to you, it’s usually polite to say something back” I said sharply.
