"Help me! You have to help me!" Someone was yelling at me.
I could only turn in a circle, searching for the owner of the voice. I couldn't see anything, it was too dark. "Come into the light!" I called to whomever it was that needed my help. I heard some shuffling around. Turning, I saw a barefoot step into the light.
“You’ve got to be kidding me!” a voice cried, pulling me out of the dream. No! I was going to see who it was that needed me.
My head shot up off the table, startled; I was still sleep deprived. I must have gotten a few hours of sleep last night, more than I had been getting.
“You’ve been here all along and you didn’t even let me know?” Ryuu sounded a little upset.
I turned my attention to him, “Wha…” I was still half asleep and couldn't figure out what he wanted from me.
“Don’t Wha… me I was stuck going through my junior year again and I could have been helping with the data?” he told me matter-of-factly.
“Well it sucks to be you doesn’t it?” I smiled. I was always a bit touchy when I am woken up from one of my dreams. This time was no different.
“AHG!” Ryuu pulled at his hair “Fine I’m going to go and talk to some of the ghosts.” He huffed storming out of the room.
I shrugged and turned my laptop on. Because I had set up cameras everywhere, I could see where everyone was now that they had all assembled back at the school. I turned and saw Elle staring out the window. Why was she even still here?
"Why don't you just go home?" I asked. "You don't want to be here."
She turned and glared at me, "Are you kidding? Right when this place is getting a little interesting? I want to see this out."
"You don't believe in ghosts, which is what we are exercising," I retorted, a little angrily. She never made any sense. "Whatever, do what you like, just stay out of the way." I shook my head as I went over last night's footage.
The temperature in the area's we had been had all dropped in temperature last night. I nodded, made sense. There had been a lot of activity last night. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Ryuu on the roof. He was talking to some girl I didn't know.
It was Ryuu's birthday in two hours. I wanted to be there to tell him; he probably thought I had forgotten. Suddenly, I saw glass flying everywhere, and Ryuu and that girl getting cut. I stared intently at the screen, now totally alert. She was turning into a vampire. What?
I pushed back my chair and stood up as I saw her take off down the corridors to get away from him, but he was following him. I raced towards the door when Elle asked, "What's on fire?"
"It's Ryuu. You can come or stay, your choice," I told her.
She shrugged and followed me. It was then that I heard gunshuts go off. I frowned and changed my direction. Was that him as well? Maybe Nino had found the vampire girl.
I ran until I saw Nino aiming a gun at Matsu. Had he gone completely mad? "Stop!" I yelled. "What's going on?" I needed an explanation and fast. None of this made any sense.
Suddenly, Nino shot at Matsu, and there was a hole in Matsu's chest pumping out blood quickly. What had Nino just done? There had to be a logical explanation for this.
“You sick bastard,” Nino leered at Matsu. “Take your true form, now before I send you straight to hell.” True form?
Suddenly, Matsu’s body bent straight backwards. “Hahahhahaha how did you know it was me, Nin-kun?” Suddenly, Nino was staring at himself. The look a like was smiling, something that seemed so foreign to be on Nino's face. I couldn't help but think that Nino should smile more often.
“What is a demon lord servant doing here, Loki?” Nino glared at the mirror image in front of him.
“Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh you even know my name Little Nin-kun!” the demon lord smiled pleasantly. "I fell honored, I really do…. Not many know the great demon lord servants that well…. It makes me sad. And just what are you all doing here? I wasn’t invited to any tea party….” The demon put his hands on his hips and shook his head. “So many ghost seers, and I wasn’t invited. You’re mean. You truly are.”
I frowned. So, this thing was a shapeshifter? "Wait, so where is Matsu?" I asked heatedly towards the demon thing. "If you have hurt him, you will pay dearly!" I threatened.
Elle, who was behind me, could only stare in bewilderment at the image in front of her. She took a step forward and came to stand directly behind me. "What is that?" she asked me, forgetting for the moment we were at odds with each other.
I shook my head, "Something evil, I can tell you that much." I turned my attention back to the demon. "Answer my question!"
