“I felt that you used your power and I’m happy it went well. Don’t worry about killing Nora. She had it coming. Anyway I wanted to see her.” My father smirked pointing behind me. I could feel Aisling tense behind me.
“Her who?” I asked trying to play dumb
“Come on Ryuu I know she’s behind you,” He smiled. I felt Aisling’s hands grip my arm and she peered around me “Um…hi?” She said uncertainly staring at my father.
He looked back at her and smiled. “Hello, my name is Asa Yuki. I’m Ryuu’s father.” My father greeted pleasantly. He stepped forward and took her hand from my arm in his and kissed her hand in gentlemanly fashion. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Aisling Alvey.” Aisling’s face light up like Rudolph’s nose off that old movie.
“Hey!” I snapped at him some what in shock that he knew her name.
“Back off!” Puck said threateningly. My father glanced at the little fairy and Puck hid in Aisling’s hair.
“H-how did you know my name?” Aisling asked almost stammering. He let go of her hand and she had a face of relief on her face.
“Well…it’s a long story and it could take all night. Let’s just say I sort of knew your grandmother.” He smiled and it seemed to be more towards her.
“What do you want from her?” I demanded.
“Why are you so defensive son?” He looked at me and then at Aisling with an arched eyebrow. “Oh I see you’re mad because you think I hit on your girlfriend?” He laughed and put a hand behind the back of his head.
“What?!” Aisling said her face heating up again.
“G-girlfriend?! No she’s not my girlfriend!” I semi shouted shaking his head. “And what do you want from her?” I demanded again.
“To thank her,” He said simply with a bit of a bored expression on his face. “She brought you back and she paid some of her life force for it.”
“What…” I said staring at him and Aisling almost groaned out loud.
“You know in the old days if you risk your life for someone, which Aisling sort of did, they would end up marrying the one they saved.” Me and Aisling gaped at him, “But that’s entirely up to you two.” He added quickly putting his hands up in front of him.
“Wait what do you mean she paid some of her life force?” I asked him and looked at Aisling.
“Um…” Aisling started. It looked like she was trying to find a way out of the situation.
“Oh we got company.” My father mentioned suddenly.
Something dark appeared so fast that it was almost a blur and attacked him. Out of reaction I grabbed Aisling and pulled her out of the way.
The attacker landed on the floor close to where Aisling and I had been standing. I looked down at Aisling and saw that she was in a bit of confusion and shock.
“Eeep it’s a vampire!” I herd Puck whisper to Aisking. I guess one thing that was good about being half demon and being half blind was that your senses were heightened. “Someone call Buffy!” I held down a laugh from that comment.
The wound that was on my father’s shoulder quickly disappeared and it looked like he had never been scratched in the first place. He looked at the vampire and said lightly, "Ah! A distant cousin! Us vampires and demons used to be very close you know! Like brothers and sisters. I'm sure that scratch was an accident, correct?"
The vampire’s dark red eyes glared at him. “Family my @$$!” She hissed and my father’s face turned dark.
"Well, son, is this disrespectful vampiress a friend of yours?" He asked me.
She looked at me and she seemed to be surprised to see me. I looked back at her also surprised I figured out who it was, “Zoey?” I muttered. That’s why she ran away when I got cut by the glass earlier.
“Uh hey Ryuu and kid I don’t know and little…fairy?” Zoey muttered as she eyed Puck blankly and Puck whispered to Aisling. “Do you have garlic or holy water on you?”
I held down a laugh again.
“So you do know her Ryuu.” He sighed. “I hope she’s not your girlfriend.”
“No she is not!” I shouted and my face felt like it was going to turn red if he kept asking the question, “Are you going to ask me if all my female friends if they’re my girlfriend or not?!”
“Well you’re of age to date girls. I have to ask about you and the people you’re with. Its part of a parent’s job you know.” He smirked.
"Hey Ryuu," Zoey said and I looked back at her. "Do you mind if I rip this guy's throat?" She started and my father let out a chuckle.
"You think you’re a challenge for me?" He smirked at Zoey.
"Ryuu! Aisling!" Someone called from the other end of the hall.
I kept an eye on my father and Zoey then Brant appeared in front of my father. Brant faced Asa and had his sword drawn out.
He looked at Brant, "Ah yes the Knight of Swords. I've heard about you from Morrigan."
Puck made a surprised yelp, "He knows Morrigan?!"
"Morrigan..." Aisling said slowly "The crow goddess?"
He snorted, "She's no longer a goddess she's a demon." He turned to Zoey again. "I see you're in a mood for a fight but I'm not." He paused as he glanced down the hall behind him. "But I know she is."
A tall woman appeared in the shadows from behind my father. She was tall, finely muscular but still had her feminine curves. She dressed in a black corset dress, black leather arm raps, ripped black stockings and black spiked boots.
"Welcome to the party Morrigan," He smiled at the former goddess. "I leave them with you but as Noiren's son I order you not to kill my son. But you may fight him if you wish."
"Understood," Morrigan spoke in a voice that resembles a crows'.
"I'll see you around Ryuu." He disappeared.
"Hey!" Zoey said. Then she shrugged, "Ah well I'll settle with you!" She lunged at Morrigan claws ready to tear her flesh.
But Morrigan knocked her hands away and grabbed the front of her shirt. She lifted Zoey over her head and threw her against the lockers.
"Aisling are you alright?" I heard Mari ask I turned around to finally see that Kaki and Mari had joined us.
Aisling turned to Mari, "I'm fine. How are you guys?"
"Okay for the most part," Mari said watching the fight between Zoey and Morrigan commence.
"Aisling," I said. "What do you know about her?" I nodded towards Morrigan.
"Only stuff I read about Celtic Mythology." Aisling looked at Puck who had come out of hiding from her hair. "You know about her."
Puck looked grim, "Yeah I do. But what you need to know is let the she-vampire and Brant handle her while we RUN!" He made an attempt to fly but I blocked his path with my hand.
"Hold; tell me about her, I'm not running away." I replied fiercely.
"Okay okay," Puck said. "But first what do want on your tomb stone?"
I glared back at him and he seemed to flinch.
"Heehee, let's have a race than." I turned back to the fight and Morrigan grew black feathered and scaly wings on her back and flew down the corridor and disappeared around a corner.
"Just watch I'm gonna clip those wings of yours." Zoey growled as she ran after Morrigan.
"Aisling can I burrow Puck for a moment?" RyIuu asked.
Puck looked indignant, "What am I? A mere object?! A toy!?"
"More like an annoying Ferbie" Mari commented dryly.
I held down another laugh again.
"Yeah sure go ahead, just be careful." Aisling said and Puck gaped at her like she gave him to a hungry dog.
"Okay follow me Puck and your gonna tell me everything you know about that goddess or whatever," I ordered.
Puck sighed and reluctantly sat on my shoulder. "Okay first she was a goddess but now she's a fallen goddess..." Puck continued talking as I ran after Zoey and Morrigan.
I know that puck was trying to explain everything to me but I was running to fast to here what he was telling me. I concentrated on finding Zoey. When I found them it seemed like she was winning but at the same time she was being pushed back and I sensed that she could not last much longer on her own. Zoey was knocked down and before she could get back up I round housed Morrigan into the closest wall.
“You have me to deal with now.” I said turning my hand into a claw again. “Puck stay out of the way.”
“You don’t have to tell me twice.” He said flying off my shoulder.
Morrigan lunged at me and I punched her square in the mouth knocking her a few feet back.
“Ryuu get out of here.” Zoey shouted at me.
I turned around and gave her an are-you-serious-like-that’s-ever-going-to-happen look. She glared back at me with her blood red eyes. That really didn’t affect me I didn’t even flinch.
“I’m not going any where.” My eyes glowed blue again and I swiped my hand in front of my body and black shards flew towards Morrigan.
“Fine then you stubborn child.” She muttered standing up and racing after Morrigan as my shards that hit her caused her to stumble. “Just don’t get in my way!” Zoey shouted attacking our opponent.
