“You’re lying.” Ryuu stated, and suddenly, Nino’s eyes narrowed so sharply that even Matsu noticed. Trying to act more as the middle ground once more, Matsu started talking before Nino could.
“It’s not a lie Ryuu.” Matsu sighed somewhat feeling now that this would not be the proper explanation, and yet it had to be said. Both the white haired man and the dark haired man knew that this had to be stated before things were taken out of hand.
“And what about my sisters? Are you going to call them demons too?” Ryuu shouted. “They have shown any sign of having demon powers and they can’t even see ghost let alone hear them!”
“If Asa is their father then unfortunately yes.” Matsu answered once more as he noticed Nino’s dark eyes now transfixed on Ryuu.
Ryuu made a movement to stare downwards as if suddenly defeated, and yet as he spoke, both the white haired man and the dark haired one interpreted that he was still not ready to give into this understanding. “This isn’t happening.” Ryuu’s voice was forced through the slits between his teeth and made somewhat more of a gruff voice than normal “My sisters are not demons!” he suddenly shouted.
Before Matsu could intervene, Nino spoke sharply causing the white haired man to stop and almost sigh to himself. “And what about you?” Nino demanded “Are you going to try and say that you’re not a demon?”
“No I’m…I’m just Ryuu,” Ryuu almost appeared to plead this virtue out into the air, and yet neither Nino nor Matsu would answer this in the way that Ryuu wanted. All three men that stood there knew this.
Nino stepped forwards sharply and seized Ryuu’s hand away from his head where he had latched it to as if trying to make some fanatical dream leave him. The dark haired man stared straight at Ryuu, and there was no sympathy on his face what so ever. Matsu, feeling the rush of Ryuu’s emotions and trying to push them away, managed to get out a word.
“Nino….” Matsu said as he started feeling the rush of emotions that was beginning to make him a tad unnerved.
Nino ignored his white haired companion and just continued to leer down at Ryuu. Ryuu was now staring straight back into the dark man’s eyes. “Stop fooling yourself!” Nino glared with a tone that was neither a shout nor a whisper but more all together as an order. “You know what you are. You’ve used that power twice. I sensed it and the effects are on your arm.” Nino continued as his fingers laced tighter around Ryuu’s arm. Ryuu seemed to flinch away and tried to put his arm from Nino’s grip, and yet the dark haired man had seized him in a death bind like no other. Forcing his eyes away, Ryuu seemed to stare down at the scratches that were slowly running down his arm. Each one of them was beginning to heal.
“I know real humans cuts don’t heal as quickly. It normally takes a process of weeks to months.” Matsu said quietly from the side of Nino that he was now standing on. Indeed, the doctor could not deny what he saw and would not chose the vice of lying for the sake of Ryuu.
“Let go Nino.” Ryuu ordered as his eyes flashed up towards Nino in a defying manner that suggested he would rather fight the truth than understanding it. “I don’t want to hear any more.”
Nino seized Ryuu’s other arm and slammed him straight into a row of lockers. The dark haired man’s eyes were so intent on the silver haired man’s that there was almost a shade of something unknown staring back at the dark haired man. “You will hear it all,” Nino said sharply. “Or you will end up being used by your father and your grandparents!”
Matsu, unable to find a mediation between what was being said from Nino and what was now pouring from Ryuu’s emotional well of anger, forced somewhat of a half-half look upon his face in a defeated manner.
“I said I don’t want to hear it from you!” Ryuu shouted back, and suddenly, the slate haired boy forced himself forwards and broke Nino’s grip. Nino stepped back sharply and moved his hands to his pockets. Both men leered at each other once more.
“Ryuu… please listen….” Matsu said quietly. “We’re trying to help you….”
“By calling my family demons and….” Ryuu started as a fire of agitation roamed his face.
“Shut up,” Nino said punching Ryuu square in the jaw. Ryuu flinched backwards and put a hand to his face. “Be glad you’re not a *Vessel instead. It sucks a lot more than being a Moratorium,” Nino spat angrily.
Ryuu stared back with a defying look that more or less contradicted Nino’s last statement, and yet there was an air of confusion within this look as well. Matsu stepped sideways understanding initially what Nino was going to do, for the dark haired man’s movements were so patterned in understanding for the white haired man that it was obvious of what he was going to do. Sighing, Matsu side stepped as Nino turned sharply and headed down the hall.
“Get back here!” Ryuu shouted angrily as he brushed past Matsu and ran straight at Nino.
The dark haired man turned and as the slate haired man brought up a fist as though to return the favor from earlier, Nino seized Ryuu by the wrist. However, in response to that, Ryuu seized Nino’s other wrist. Both men stood in a parallel format with each threatening to break the wrist of the other if something were not done to unfreeze the sudden motion.
“Stop it!” Matsu yelled, and yet neither of the other two appeared to hear him.
“Just what the heck is a Vessel?” Ryuu glared at Nino who reflected almost the same look back.
“Someone whose heart, mind, and body is given up to try and make a trap for a Demon Lord,” Nino glared back. “So that when the Demon Lord tries to take the ‘soul’ from within the body, it sets off a trap and seals the demon within the body itself. Then the body is slaughtered killing the demon completely.”
“Nino…..” Matsu breathed as his yellow eyes had taken on somewhat of a sharp, hurt look. Nino said nothing more but released Ryuu’s arm. Ryuu, almost in conjunction with this act, released Nino’s arm. Both men stared at each other, and Matsu let out a sigh. “Vessels… were created by the shamistic community to try and defeat the Demon Lords…They take certain shaman children and…..” Matsu nodded to himself with the still pained visage written into him.
“That’s enough, Matsu,” Nino said sharply causing the white haired man to silence once more. “Like I said, be glad you are a Moratorium. Don’t blind yourself to being one. You’re weak. ”
“I’m not weak,” Ryuu glared back.
“You’re acting like a cry baby,” Nino said sharply. “You won’t even accept the truth of matters.”
“Shut up!” Ryuu stormed.
“Accept it!” Nino shouted.
“SHUT UP!” Ryuu yelled suddenly almost lunging forwards and punching Nino straight across the face. Matsu flinched somewhat and backed into a locker. However, he crossed his arms and returned his visage to a light somewhat quiet smile as he now came to understand Nino’s intentions.
Nino had made no flinching form but had taken the blow completely. Ryuu’s knuckles were all but lodged into the right side of Nino’s face, and Nino’s dark hair all but shielded his eyes from those of Ryuu. Matsu’s eyes moved to Ryuu’s and found that he had a fiery look in them as if determined to make Nino shut up. Slowly, a smile began to move up through Nino’s face. His eyes remained shielded, and yet the smile could be seen completely. Reaching upwards, Nino seized Ryuu’s arm and pulled it away from the side of his face. Ryuu, appearing to lose the sudden burst of emotion that had caressed him, stepped backwards as if unsure what to do.
“You’ll be fine,” Nino’s voice was strange mix that could only be described as a dark laugh. “If you don’t want to be weak, then don’t allow yourself to be blind to anything. See it as it is, and deal with it as it comes. Become stronger.” The smile continued to stay on Nino’s lips for half a second more before it dropped and the somber look appeared once more. Turning around once more, Nino walked down the hallway with an air like no other.
Matsu looked from Ryuu to Nino and then back to Ryuu. “I…. haven’t seen him smile… in years….” Matsu said quietly.
“Matsu…. Is Nino a Vessel?” Ryuu asked after a moment.
“We both are,” Matsu answered lightly as a smile was stained across his visage. “I think…. Nino needs some alone time…. Let’s find the others, shall we?”
Matsu looked at Ryuu with a light blank expression. Ryuu appeared about to ask another question but decided against it and half nodded to himself. “Right,” he answered.

"So where are we going today, Ryo-yo?" a light orange haired girl said as she sat atop a somewhat relaxed dark red haired man. "Are we going to play with more friends?"
"Hah, Aeirin," the red haired man spoke as he continued walking down the street. The darkness around them was measured in the lack of light which was near nothing. "We might find some 'new friends' but I doubt it... Everyone else seems to have started a party without us..."
"I wanna go to a party!" the young girl now named Aeirin complained as her fingers dug into the top part of the red haired man's head.
"We're going we're going!" Ryoen answered back. "And here we are.... a school, eh?" The Demon Lord smiled as he walked up the steps and into the school.
