“Come on is that any way to greet someone.” Ryuu asked as he dodged my advances. I wasn't sure why I was acting this crazy, but I had been really worried about him, and it was fun to torture him a little.
“It is when I’m worried sick about you.” I answered, stopping my attacks.
Suddenly, Ryuu snagged my hand out of the air and pulled me close to him. I was a little confused as to why he was doing this all of a sudden. Sure, we had hugged before, but this felt different somehow. My heart sped up for a moment as I looked up at him questioningly.
He pulled me in and kissed my lips. I wish I could say I resisted, but I just stood there, letting it happen. He released me slowly, backing away from me, trying to put some distance between us. My face had to be the reddest shade out there.
“I am so sorry Em…” He apologized. I didn't understand what was going on, but we were going to talk about that later.
Before I could formulate a word, I sensed some spiritual energy entering the school. Suddenly, Elle was in front of me, her fist extended. She had punched Ryuu straight in the cheek; that was going to bruise in the morning. She had a killer right hook.
“How dare you touch her.” She shouted at him. She was being protective of me? That was strange, but I didn't have time to deal with Elle now.
I regained my composure, placing my hand on Elle's shoulder. "Ryuu, we will be talking about this later," my cheeks tinted red again, I was sure. "But, we have bigger problems at the moment."
Elle gave me a curious look, "What do you mean?"
"Something's here. Something powerful."
