What seems to be on your mind?” Matsu asked keeping his face composed with a light smile. Ryuu appeared to tense suddenly as if not expecting any voice on the matter. However, the white haired man had been observing the slate haired man with one yellow eye as he continued walking forwards, and the rash about of strange emotion that was radiating out of Ryuu was beginning to make Matsujun wonder.

“Oh I was just wondering if Zoey was alright.” Ryuu answered appearing to try and stretch backwards. Matsu’s eye caught something that Ryuu was itching with. Matsu’s eyes became half slanted as he understood what it was. It was out of the corner of his eye that Matsu noticed the strange fairy creature of Aisling’s creation had suddenly and very dramatically flown off. However, before his attention could be strayed any further, Ryuu began talking again. “For some reason it just activated and forced me to run from the fight. It might have been because I was bleeding and Zoey’s a vampire,” Ryuu said, and it took half a second for Matsu to realize that he was still on the subject of Moratorium.

“So Miss Zoey is a vampire I thought there was something different about her,” Matsu answered trying to recuperate the situation placing one hand on his chin.

“I wonder what time it is?” Ryuu said looking down. Matsu’s eyes widened as he noticed that Ryuu was about to walk straight into the median that divided the two doors of the hallway.

“Um Ryuu…” Matsu began, but it was a second too late for the sound of head rebounding off of wall was the next that echoed in the area. Matsu found his eyes grow, and suddenly a laugh was working its way up inside him. It had been too serious of a night, and in half another second, the white haired man surrendered to his own convictions and started laughing lightly. Ryuu, appearing to take to the notion as well, began laughing along with Matsu. Bending down, Matsu extended a hand to help Ryuu back up. “You alright?” Matsu asked trying to keep the smile on his face to a minimum.

“Yea I’m fine.” Ryuu answered back as Matsu helped him up.

“RYUU! MATSU!” The white haired man turned around and found that a group had once again come forwards and was now standing before both the white haired man and the slate haired man. Matsu recognized them all as Emiko, Mari, Kaki, and Elle.

“Where have you been?” Emiko stated more of an order than a question as she quickly smacked Ryuu across the face lightly. Matsu stared somewhat dumbfounded for a moment before his own beliefs moved and answered that it was obviously just some sort of maneuver that had been used many times before in such situations.

“Um…I’ve been on the first floor, on the roof, and here why do you ask?” Ryuu half laughed back at Emiko as he put one hand on his face, and yet Emiko appeared to take a serious agitation of worry and smacked Ryuu a bit more before he finally backed away.

“Come on is that any way to greet someone.” Ryuu asked as Emiko continued to express her agitation at in several forms all at once. Matsu sighed to himself and just kept somewhat of a light face. Moving his eye over to Mari and Kaki, the white haired man smiled at them both.

“Well hello again,” Matsu smiled at both of them. In that moment, Kaki appeared to stare back for a solid second.

“Matsu,” Kaki said after a moment. “Matsujun.”

“Hah indeed,” Matsu answered back. “Now how do you know my name hah…”

“I….. remembered…… it…” Kaki answered as if unsure himself of what to say on the matter. Matsu’s yellow eyes stared at Kaki for a second longer before another light laugh escaped him.

“Well that makes you very smart indeed,” Matsu commented allowing Kaki to side step the question all together. “And how are you Miss Mari?”

Mari appeared to take on a confused look as if not sure what to say, but suddenly, a motion caught everyone’s eye and Matsu returned his full attention to the strange scene of Ryuu. They were…. Matsu turned scarlet at seeing Ryuu kissing Emiko, and all the white haired man could do was stare blankly. Emiko turned a dark red blood color, and suddenly, Ryuu backed away quickly trying to avoid Emiko’s eyes. Matsu looked to both Kaki and Mari, and all three of them exchanged looks. The waves of emotion that were radiating in that moment was about to start a laughing fit inside the white haired man, and yet he was forcing himself not to release it.

“I am so sorry Em…” Ryuu said putting his hands up and backing up still faster. Suddenly, Matsu’ s yellow eyes shot down the hall as he felt the strange spiritual presence enter the building. His muscles tightened quickly. Ryuu suddenly bumped straight into Matsu braking the white haired man’s focus for a full instant.

“How dare you touch her!” Elle shouted at Ryuu and appeared to take on the appearance of a bear about to maul some innocent victim. Ryuu looked up, yet Matsu’s eyes were still down the hall.

“I sense it too.” Matsu said sharply understanding in that instant that Ryuu had felt it as well. “And… it smells like fire.” Matsu’s eyes widened as he suddenly breathed out.

Emiko’s face had seemed to turn from red back to its original form, and her head shot to the side. “Ryuu, we will be talking about this latter” she said sharply. “But we have bigger problems at the moment.”

“What do you mean?” Elle asked.

“Something’s here. Something powerful.”

“Indeed,” Matsu answered back putting a hand on his head and resisting the urge to leer down the hall.

Suddenly, a giant bird came flying straight from behind. Matsu felt his eyes shift. He had been so focused on the new presence that he had not even noticed this one’s. The bird dove forwards and slashed straight at Mastu. The white haired man didn’t have time to recoil before sharp talons dove their way into the white haired man’s skin. Matsu felt his eyes sharpen, and suddenly his katana was formed in front of him blocking the bird from attacking. In that half second, Ryuu appeared to jump into action and attacked the bird. It suddenly exploded into a nothingness of feathers. However, just as this happened, the air in the room began to swirl and increase pushing people back sharply. Matsu brought his arm up to block the wind, yet his blood from the first attack seemed to rush out with the wind. Zoey appeared to try and run for it, but the demon bird creature formed in front of the door and smiled sharply at her. One of Matsu’s eyes closed sharply as he tried to diffract the wind that was blowing. Everything had closed off.

"Oh! A waste of precious air! Eventually you'll have to breathe!" the demon sang. Matsu felt his eyes twitch, and as he looked over, he saw Zoey had finally snapped, and with a sudden movement, she tore straight at the demon. The woman screamed out, and as though her power had suddenly met a resistor, the feathers that had formed a cage were suddenly destroyed and fell to the floor.

Matsu felt air enter his lungs, but with that came more blood from his shoulder. Could really use your help right now, Nin-kun….. Matsu thought to himself.

~*~

Nino walked down the hall breathing slowly. His hand was clasped on his jaw where Ryuu had struck him, and yet he was not holding it to cradle the pain, however instead, it was something else…. Something that had no words to describe the understanding that was coming to him. Moratorium should never have existed…..Nino thought to himself darkly. Yet that one…. Nino let out another breath.

“Demons….” A voice said causing Nino’s dark eyes to find the source of the matter in a young ghost girl looking around a wall as if scared. Nino said nothing for a moment but stepped forwards.

“I’m not a demon,” Nino answered back, and it appeared as though the ghost girl was still not sure that he wasn’t lying. She gave him a wary eye and backed up considerably. “You should go home,” Nino said darkly. “This is no place for children.”

“Home?” the young girl asked.

“To the afterlife with you,” Nino answered forming his gun.

However, just as he did was about to shoot, the dark haired man had sudden rush of power run over him. His head shot down the hall, and before another thought occurred to him, he had brought his gun straight up and was aiming it directly at a young girl with orange hair.

“Well hi there to you too!” the young girl smiled giving a sudden bow. “My name is Aeirin. Do you want to be my friend?” Nino’s eyes narrowed as he stared back at the girl. The young girl introduced as Aeirin appeared to be looking at the barrel of the gun with the interest a child would give a weapon. “Oh what’s that?” she asked smiling and pointing at the gun.

“Demon,” Nino growled. “Stop hiding in that form.”

The orange haired girl blinked for a full moment and then a smile moved up her face. “Aw you know what I am! Yay!” Aeirin brought her hands together and made a few light claps. “This will make killing you even more fun!”

“Demon!” the ghost behind Nino screamed, but just as she yelled out, the orange haired demon girl seemed to catch sight of the spirit.

“Well hello there…. You look tasty as a gum drop!” Aeiring laughed suddenly making a move to brush straight by Nino. The dark haired man formed a sword and blocked the path of the orange haired girl keeping his eyes in a leering position the entire time. “Get away from her,” Nino glared.

“Aw… that’s cute a dark knight!” Aeirin laughed. “I wish my red knight hadn’t gone off to play with the other girls…” Aeirin pulled her face down and appeared to take on somewhat of a somber look before she released it and burst into a full blown smile once more. “Oh well!” All but dancing forwards, Aeirin formed fans in her hand and began beating them with the movements of her cartwheels. Wind came in blades towards the dark haired man, and with each movement, Nino continued to block. The ghost behind him seemed to back up with him, and as he noticed this, the dark haired man stared. “What are you waiting for?” he demanded darkly. “Run!”

The ghost seemed to jump at this and nod. “She won’t get away!” Aeirin laughed suddenly lunging straight forwards at the ghost. However, in that second, Nino shot twelve bullets into the ghost. The ghost faded sharply and Aeirin went crashing into a wall.

“OWWWWWWWWWWIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!” the demon lord cried as she rubbed her head. “MEANIE! MEANIE EMO PANTS! You’re like Nor-nor! No fun! No fun at all!”

Nino said nothing but reformed his sword once more and leered straight at the girl. Suddenly a scream came from down the hall.

“Yay! Ryo-yo found your friends!” Aeirin laughed lightly.
