Aiba looked down at Nino’s phone and then back up at the hospital. Turning his head to one side, the dark haired boy finally sighed to himself and shook his head. “This is the only closest hospital… so I guess that’ll have to work.” Suddenly an image of a obscurely smirking Nino flashed through the mind of Aiba, and the young man suddenly puffed upwards and stood very stiffly. I’ll show him! He thought shaking his head after another moment and entering the school. It’s the only way to get him to listen to me anyways. Walking into the main lobby of the medical facility, Aiba turned his head in a great one hundred eighty degree turn in order to try and capture the sight around him. Several people were waiting patiently and several were not. Walking to the main desk, Aiba smiled complacently at the woman before him. The front desk woman looked up from her papers and gave a light smile as if deciding that Aiba was someone coming to visit a relative or something of the like.
“Do you need help locating someone?” the woman smiled. Aiba shook his head after a moment.
“Actually, I’m looking into a situation,” the young man answered holding up Nino’s phone with the text inscribed. The woman seemed to reflect a look of surprise but finally decided that this was probably the ghost hunter that had been hired.
“Well you see,” the woman started as she leaned slightly over the counter. “There has been a group of children as of late that have been causing somewhat of a ruckus, but every time we take their toys away, they only retrieve more. Several people have seen them with a ghost of some sorts moving around as well.”
“Ah,” Aiba said putting his hand on his chin. Just a ghost? This isn’t what I had in mind….. However, a wave of ties washed over the young dark haired boy and suddenly he forced a smile. “I’ll look into it then,” he answered. The woman seemed to nod and directed him through the next few rooms before the young man was able to direct himself somewhat.
Aiba walked the halls as his eyes searched for any form of paranormal activity. Suddenly, a chill ran over the young man, and his eyes darted down to his right hand. The rings that encased the knuckles of each hand were marked by carvings of animals of different shapes and forms, and each served to be a tie of some sort. The wolf, for the longest time had usually Nino was somewhere within the vicinity, but it was not the wolf that was sending the strange impulse up his arm. Instead, it was the crystal ring on his index finger. Aiba’s eyes shot upwards again, and suddenly he saw what appeared to be a ghost boy with a mask upon his face.
“Hello….” Aiba said as the strange feeling slowly disappeared now that he saw the ghost. The ghost made no voice to talk but held up a water gun playfully and then aimed it at Aiba. A light smirk appeared on the dark haired boy’s face. “Oh is that how you want to play?” he asked narrowing his body format. “Just try and squirt me.”
The ghost let out what could only be compared with a laugh and started pulling back on the water gun. Several squirts of water shot outwards. Jumping up and starting to run towards the ghost, Aiba put out a hand in front of him. However, the ghost turned and started running down the hall and turned a corner.
“Hey come back here!” Aiba yelled, but as he turned the corner the ghost had come down, Aiba came face to face with someone who had turned around in the middle of the hallway. Yet the dark haired boy refused to let this stop him and started to brush by the girl as he continued after the ghost.
“Wait!” the girl yelled after them and started to run. Aiba wanted to look back for a moment but knew that if he did, he would lose sight of the ghost. In the half second that came as the young man ran down the hallway, Aiba felt the girl trip from behind him and knock directly into him causing both parties to hit the floor. Aiba hit the floor, and the sound of crashing that echoed in his ears the sudden feeling of someone crashing on top of him caused an ‘umph’ sound to be projected out of the dark haired boy.
“Owwwww… what the heck…..” Aiba said feeling himself being compressed between the girl that was all but sitting on him now and the floor. “Get off…..”
“Ack… sorry, sorry….” The girl answered forcing herself up and away. Aiba forced himself to stand up and looked down the hall towards where the ghost had gone. As if waiting for the chase to resume, the ghost was standing only a few meters away with his hands on his hips. Aiba was quiet for a moment as he allowed his eyes to work their way around the strange form of the ghost. However, after another moment, he allowed himself to breath.
“It’s fine,” he answered the girl who was now also looking down the hallway. Realizing that she could see what he was seeing, Aiba allowed one eye to move to the girl while his other eye remained on the ghost.
“Aisling?” a voice called from down the hall.
