Em closed her eyes and took a deep breath as we walked back to my house. She looked great even though her putting on Kara’s 2” heel boots didn’t help me because with those things on she’s taller than I am.
“So, who do you think is going to even show up?” She suddenly asked.
“I glanced up at her and then shook my head if she wanted to play the teasing game “Well, since I’m so popular, I’ll bet we’ll have a full house.” That was a total lie and she knew it.
“Kara will have her work cut out for her, making all that food. Good thing she likes cooking. I could never enjoy it.” She shook her head.
“Don’t forget Elle is helping her.” I reminded her. “Besides, the only reason you don’t enjoy it is because you eat it all before you have a chance to bake anything.” I tickled her waist, making her jump.
“I can’t help it when the food is begging to be eaten. Besides, even when I don’t eat the ingredients, I can’t cook to save my life. Remember that one time? The one where we were stuck up in the mountains because of that false sighting of a ghost in that cabin?” She mentioned.
I cringed at the old memory. “I had hoped no one would ever bring that up again. I thought a monster had attacked the kitchen, no joke. It tasted even worse. It kept popping and making weird noises.”
“Hey, I warned you that I was no good. I never had to cook back home.”
“That was obvious.” I agreed.
She smirked and punched me in the arm; out of reaction I did the same thing to her only lighter. When we stopped punching each other she smiled at me and I did the same back. Then I weaved my fingers threw hers and we walked the rest of the way home. We stumbled into the house laughing because we raced each other to the door with pulling one another back and everything. We took off our shoes and I grabbed her hand again and we went up to my bed room. I closed the door behind us. Before she could slip her hand out of mine I pulled her in close and pecked her on the cheek.
“Ryuu.” She whispered in shock.
I instantly let go of her hand “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to.” I muttered attempting to hold down a blush.
