As Emiko stared almost waiting for Nino to give the answers, the dark haired man said nothing but wore almost a defeated look on his face. The dark haired man knew very well that Sho was not one to willing lie on any form or function when it came to what was needing to be said. Finally Emiko looked back at Sho who kept his face in a calm mannerism as well.
"I want answers,” Emiko stated aloud. A half smile came onto Sho Sakurai’s face. “You’re not one to back down and be afraid like many would be,” he acknowledged. “Your spiritual pressure increased so suddenly even I was surprised at first, and yet when something like this happens, there is nothing to do further on it.”
“What do you mean?” Emiko asked crossing her arms and appearing to force herself to look into the face of the brown haired man before her. Nino let out a sour breath, but Sho did not seem to notice this.
“You’re becoming a shaman,” Sho said aloud causing Emiko to blink for a full moment in confusion.
“What do you mean a shaman? They’re…er….” Emiko said turning her head almost to ask Nino for his point, and yet the dark haired man made no motion to answer this questioning look. Instead, his head had turned, and he was now staring up at the sky.
“People with the ability to see ghosts and form weapons out of their own power,” Sho stated all but in a manner of fact format. “They exist on all plains of existence completely and totally.”
“Wait what?” Emiko asked causing the brown haired man to half smile.
“What others would consider ‘heaven, hell, and earth’” he answered back. “Are only three of the plains that most ghost seers can perceive. These areas are tightly connected. Ghosts exist on two of the plains between here and their afterlife. Normal humans exist on one plain which would be most accurately described as Earth, and Demons exist on two plains between Earth and Hell. However, that is usually as far as any Ghost seer can format themselves unless they strengthen their abilities… what is happening to you now was probably started by your own wants… in time you will see more and more plains of existence….. between the angels that are known to walk a heavenly plain all their own and the spirits of the nature around us that is hidden to most.. you will find a lot more to see.” With that, Sho fell silent and expressed nothing more.
Nino let his breath out sharply in the darkness, yet he was not altogether destroyed. Indeed, Sho had been very reserved on the matter, and for that, the dark haired man was thankful.
“So…. You’re saying I’m getting stronger then,” Emiko finally annotated Sho’s words into her own context of things.
“In a sense, yes,” Sho answered back with a somewhat sustained visage.
Suddenly, Emiko’s eyes widened again, and she clasped her head sharply once more. Her face took on a form of pain, yet Sho made no movement forwards nor did Nino. The dark haired man who now stood somewhat strictly seemed to tense for a moment and then force himself to relax again. Both men exchanged unseen looks and for a quiet moment as Emiko seemed to try and force herself into composure once more. The sound of breathing was all that could be heard in the area.
“It is rare for a human to be suddenly inflexed by so many crossing worlds. Shamans are usually born with this and do not know the different in their state, but your change will probably be harder to cope with, at least for a while,” Sho spoke with a calm and even tone. “But when you are able to, you will begin to become stronger and more sustained with spiritual form, and soon you will form something of this matter.” Sho raised his hand, and he formed what could only be described as a giant steel sword approximately seventeen feet in length. “A shamistic format,” Sho said after another moment. “Many formats are conformed to what the user can imagine…have you seen Nino’s gun?”
Nino’s face took from a somber form to a sudden look of surprise and then returned again keeping causticity in his eye towards Sho at all times. Sho half laughed at this gesture understanding that there was considerable amount of pride to be spilled when the time came. “It is his format,” Sho answered. “The stronger you become, the more you can change your format, and the more imagination you have, the more it will do for you. However, you will not be able to form this right off…”
Emiko’s eyes seemed to be running the length of the blade, but almost instantly, the blade seemed to explode into dust and disappear once more. The red haired girl let out a sharp breath and tried to keep herself in control of all the information that had been placed before her.
“And what is with the images?” she finally answered. Sho’s face remained calm but his eye moved towards Nino. “And that voice… what is going on?”
“The voice is probably a plain that you have come into contact with, but the images… heh Nin don’t tell me allowed so much emotion out at once that you reflected your own mind set into the spiritual world… how childish…” There was a scolding tone in Sho’s voice, but it remained light and unhampering.
“There,” Nino said sharply shaking his head after a moment. “You wanted answers so there.”
“Anyways, I would continue talking on this matter, but I must find Aiba as well as Matsu and have my own personal talk with them. I am sure that Nino will be willing to explain anything else you wish to know Miss Emiko.”
“How did you….” Emiko started, but Sho just smiled.
“When you finish your development, you’ll understand.” With that, the brown haired men seemed to side step and all but disappear in an instant.
Consider yourself lucky Nino-yang, Sho’s thoughts brushed upside the dark haired man’s own, yet the dark haired man made no motion to acknowledge this. He was not shocked no was surprised. That I lied for you….
I didn’t need your help…..Nino’s thoughts projected back towards wherever the brown haired Sho Sakurai had gone.
It appears you did….. take care.. This will be reported…
I don’t care…..
And when the day comes that you can no longer lie… I will be watching….
I don’t care….
Keep telling yourself that….
Shut up…..
Don’t think the Council will take this as lightly as you hope….
I don’t hope.
Now that is another lie Nino….. you’re becoming as bad as Matsu at lying.
“This is just…” Emiko started nearly causing the dark haired man to jump as he realized that she had started speaking again. “So… but….” Nino looked at her half expecting that she pull up some exact question, and yet the question seemed to die in her. Nino said nothing but turned his head away and started viewing the stars above. “The stars are my favorite part of the sky…” Nino shook his head after another moment.
“Why didn’t you just come out and say it before,” Emiko finally said as though she had been trying to place the words and failing.
“Because you’d ask more questions about Aoi,” Nino felt the lie stinging his vocal chords. Yet it was just the beginning, and the dark haired man knew it.
“Was…..” Emiko asked, but before she could finish, Nino turned his head and half nodded. “Oh….” Was the only answer back.
Nino half sighed to himself and closed his eyes keeping his head still up towards the sky. I’ll become numb by the end of this… but I can’t do anything more. The dark haired man breathed outwards after another moment but kept his eyes closed.
Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, Nino noticed Emiko was trying to keep herself from falling back on her knees and clasping her head again “Make it stop…. I don’t want this again!” she shouted sharply. Suddenly as if in reaction to this, the red haired girl’s form seemed to freeze. Realizing that she was about to faint Nino moved sharply forwards before he could think a second thought and seized Emiko as she nearly feel backwards. A sudden breath seemed to escape her, and with that, the red haired girl had fainted. Nino’s arm muscles twitched from the unexpected weight of catching and holding up of Emiko. The stress was too much…..Nino thought to himself as his eyes narrowed. Probably for the best for now though….. Forcing Emiko’s knees to buckle and picking her up almost in a riding style, Nino started to walk the unconscious red haired girl back towards Ryuu’s house.
~*~
“Last time I saw her she went into the hall towards the stairs why?” Ryuu asked looking towards the white haired man as if internally knowing where Matsu was going despite this.
“Because I don’t sense her in the house anymore,” Matsu answered back as his yellow eyes shifted around the room sharply. It was as though she had left the house completely. More things to worry about…..Matsu’s thoughts were loud on the subject that was now all but vibrating within the white haired man’s head. Just as his eyes met the window not far off, Ryuu spoke aloud.
“The window!” Ryuu all but yelled, and Matsu’s eyes grew as what appeared to be a black crow turned and fled from the windowsill outside the house. Turning his head sharply and meeting eyes with Ryuu, Matsu forced himself up an grabbed the jacket he had brought with him.
“Where are you two going?” Kara asked as she walked into the kitchen to view the two disgruntled men getting ready to leave out into the darkness that had already spread through that particular side of the world.
“We’ll be right back I promise Kara.” Ryuu answered opening the door. Matsu slipped passed him, and in a matter of seconds, both men were running down the street. Matsu’s yellow eyes, all but perfectly adapted to seeing in the dark more or less from the constant job interface that he worked with, were scanning the area trying to find any sign of where the red haired girl was.
“Where is she? I still don’t sense her.” Ryuu’s voice startled Matsu for a moment as both men turned the corner. However, just as the two stopped, Matsu found himself face to face with two black crows sitting complacently on a wire just in front of them. The white haired man moved his hand to his pocket and was about to form his spiritual weapon if the need arose.
“Oh my I guess we’re trapped.” Matsu smiled lightly now staring at the crows.
“This is not good.” Ryuu muttered.
“Would you like to explain where our friend is?” Matsu asked lightly to the two birds who just reflected back a dull stare. However, one seemed to crow aloud and answer the white haired man’s question in an unheard of tongue. “I guess that’s a no then,” Matsu answered back. “Forgive me for this later.” With a sharp motion, Matsu formed his katana and pulled it forwards. As the blade seemed to form before him, the white haired man pulled at the side of it, and the katana formed into a bow and arrow. Raising it and aiming it directly at one of the birds, Matsu allowed his arrow to fly and pierce one of the birds before him. The bird raised its wings and burst into a large amount of feathers. “Well I never,” a voice in thick Valley Girl speak said as the crow seemed to reform into a woman before the two men. Matsu felt his eye twitch somewhat by the sound of the voice.
