Enigma [Part 1]

A strange cracked laugh broke in the silent room. It smacked into and bounced on the walls distorting everything. A harsh sound followed suddenly killing the laughter. However, in half a second more, the laugh began again only to be silenced again as a smash finished it yet again. “Enough,” Sho Sakurai’s voice was caustic in the air. “If you go any further you make break.” However, there was no reply to this…. The darkness of the room was only shattered by minuscule light that flickered in from the windows. The shadows of blinds on the windows tainted even this light. Another crack of laughter escaped before it was suddenly silenced again by yet another smash echoing out in the air. “Do not go any further.”

Nino’s body rested on the couch with his head propped up on the arm of the couch and his arms at his side. Sho Sakurai stood at the head of this couch all but leering down at the dark haired man. “What you are trying to do is foolish,” Sho said darkly looking back at the black haired man. However, there was no response. Only about a foot away, Matsujun stood as if frozen. The white haired man stared but couldn’t even begin to talk on it. It had chilled him… beyond the recourse of reason. Aiba stood in front of Matsu, and the white haired man had wrapped one arm around the boy and put another hand around his mouth. Despite this, there was no reason for it, Aiba found himself that he could not speak on it either.

Another laugh suddenly escaped into the air followed by a swift now registered in the air as a smack. Nino’s head moved to the side and his eyes looked all but dead. A red hand print was beginning to distort itself on his face. Sho rubbed his own knuckles and stared back at Nino‘s face. “I said enough.” The dark haired man turned his head sideways again and looked up at Sho with a strangely twisted grin on his face. Instead of answering these words, the dark haired man simply started laughing again prompting Sho to smack him across the face again. “Speak damn you….” Sho’s voice was stern in nature as he looked down at the dark haired man. “And to think Matsu had to call in order for me to come here and find you like this… you idiot.” Another laugh escaped but was suddenly broke again by yet another smack. “If you have any sense of what I am saying, obey me. Speak.”

A caustic laugh broke the air, but as Sho moved his hand again to smack the face of the dark haired man, Nino’s arm had risen and seized Sho’s wrist. “I’m just having fun…..” Nino’s voice moved out of him as if he were someone else. “Leave me alone, Sho Sakurai….I’m not in the mood to play with you.”

“Why… why did…what could have made him…...” Aiba’s voice broke from behind Matsu’s hand causing the white haired man behind him to try and hush him again. Sho turned again and viewed Matsu along with Aiba. All three reflected a pained look. “He was fine…when we all went to bed…...” Aiba’s voice continued to the point it was all but cracking. “Why….is….”

Another smack hit the air followed by a full crack of laughter. Nino’s face grinned up back at Sho. “He’s out there… and when your little seal break… I’ll be free to kill him….” Nino smiled as he stared up at Sho. “Isn’t that what we are for, anyways? Why are you holding back my work? Noiren is in the world… this one… and I can find him right now if you just……”

“Shut up Doki,” Sho leered back. “You have no right to his body unless Noiren is right in front of you.”

“But it’s not fair,” Nino’s voice answered back. “I simply want to kill him! You and the other shamans made me this way… it’s not my fault…. Come now… let me go kill him.” Another smack hit the air followed by silence for a moment.

“As an inner sealing spirit I would have expected more from you,” Sho’s voice was as caustic as his eyes were as he continued to leer down back at Nino.

“As a human willing to accept the job as a vessel I would have expected you to understand,” Nino’s voice answered back dropping a few octaves as if he were suddenly sad. However, the smile remained on his face obscurely. “It’s my job and my being… his body is mine…. And besides… he’s just a body after all….” Another smack to the face and Nino‘s head was sideways for a moment. “Ow… would you quit that? I’m not a fan of love smacks.”

“You know the rules,” Sho glared back. “You are not allowed to take over unless Noiren is present before you.”

“But even Shi got to play last night….” Nino’s voice answered back as if complaining. “Shi got to kill demons!” Matsu’s eyes widened for a minute as he turned red and looked away feeling all but in pain at letting his own vessel spirit rule his human spirit. He had not face off against Hiawai, yet he had allowed Shi to take control…. Biting the inside of his mouth hard enough to where he could feel his own blood spattering on the inside of it, Matsu said nothing. Aiba’s eyes moved up and around towards Matsu’s, but the dark haired boy said nothing and simply lowered his gaze again as though internally knowing there was nothing he could say on the matter. “It’s not fair!” Doki complained outwards again through Nino.

“Enough!” Sho answered back smacking the side of Nino’s face harder than he had before. “Leave, Doki. I do not want to see any more of you.”

A brisk laugh escaped after this. “I refuse….” Nino’s voice answered back. “and you know the only one who can stop me is him… and he hasn’t said anything in a while now has he?”

“Don’t make me torture you in that body,” Sho’s eyes couldn’t possibly narrow any more now.

“And torture him at the same time?” Nino’s grin seemed to grow. “You know… vessel spirits feel no pain… you’d just be hurting a body….” Doki smiled again. However, suddenly a flicker of something seemed to run through Nino’s eyes. Sho watched this carefully wondering if he was going to actually come back again…. If the dark haired man was starting to take back his own mind again. Suddenly the expression on Nino’s face changed and dropped completely. The dead look in his eye was replaced with something that looked a tad more alive, and Sho sighed outwards rubbing his temple.

“That was annoying,” Sho said aloud before putting a finger on Nino’s head. The body itself flinched for a moment before relaxing again. Nino stared at Sho with a half dazed look. “has he been doing that a lot?” Sho asked directly the question at Nino instead of those who would have been thought it would be directed at. Nino let out a groan and said nothing before raising his hand and putting it to the side of his face. The dark haired man made no answer to the brown haired man.

Matsu let out a sighed and slowly released Aiba’s shoulder and mouth before walking over towards the blinds and fully opening them. Sunlight poured in suddenly causing Nino to retract straight off the couch by the bright light. Aiba blinked for a second before twitching and all but falling over with tension. Nino sat up fully and rubbed the side of his face.

“Did you really have to smack me?” the dark haired man glared at Sho who simply reflected a calm look back.

“I’m not the one who went running out in the middle of the night after everyone went to bed,” Sho answered back. “Nor am I the one who got possessed by his own vessel spirit.”

Matsu flushed for a moment before turning around again from the curtains. “Now Sho-kun… no need to be like that….” the white haired man smiled a fraction.

“What…… I don‘t even know what you mean.” Nino challenged back as he forced himself completely off upwards and was now stepping forwards to challenge Sho.

Sho took on a look of surprise for a moment before narrowing his eyes again. “You mean to tell me Doki took control simply to play the run around?” the brown haired questioned.

Nino felt himself suddenly twitch as he turned and looked at Matsu for some idea as to what had happened. Matsu just shook his head and forced a cheesy smile. “Well….. I didn’t expect it either…” the while haired man laughed lightly rubbing the back of his head. “You wouldn’t believe how strange it was having to chase you around all night even after the run around we had to do with Aisling and what not… I thought you were going crazy myself… hahahahah.”

“Matsu, you worry me sometimes,” Sho sighed outwards at the white haired man who just laughed back. Aiba, who had had his fill of being silent suddenly let out a large yell that sounded like a mix between a stretch sound and a joyful glee.

“Glad that’s done,” Aiba yawned. “I’m sleepy….” The dark haired boy turned and started off a few feet to jump on Nino‘s bed and appear all but asleep. Nino was back to normal, and now Aiba was off to bed as far as the dark haired boy was concerned.

Matsu watched Aiba before letting out another light laugh and looking at Sho. “Sorry for so much drama last night and now this morning, Sho-kun,” the white haired man smiled a bit before letting out a laugh. Sho simply rubbed his temple a moment wondering why he had not gotten used to Matsu’s strange nature yet. Matsu’s reaction was simply another laugh.

“Son of a… Aiba get off my bed!” Nino yelled as the dark haired man started over towards where the dark haired boy had laid down and starting to pull at sheets and things.

“But I’m sleepy!” Aiba complained.

“Does it look like I give a damn!” Nino yelled back.

“Looks… like Nino has gone back to normal….” Sho sighed to himself before starting to turn out the door. Noticing this, Matsu blinked and laughed lightly following Sho out.

“Sorry for the trouble….” the white haired man sighed as he now led the brown haired man towards the door.

“It’s fine… for now….” Sho answered back with a straight face as the sounds of bed sheets ripping, violence, and a screaming Aiba in the background echoed in the background. “it worries me though……” the brown haired man sighed as more sounds of crashing and banging continued along with Nino yelling for Aiba to quit clinging to things.

“I’m sorry to make you worry, Sho-kun,” Matsu smiled looking back at the grizzly man. “I will keep an eye on it… and if anything else happens, I’ll…..”

“Are either of you two slipping?” Sho’s voice was direct causing Matsu’s smile to falter and completely fall.

“To vessel souls?” Matsu asked back already knowing that was the topic. “No… it is just the presence of the demons that have flooded the area that had prompted this….”

“Ah,” Sho answered back. “I will have to report this to the council….”

“Also,” Matsu said as his face remained dark in expression. “There have been angel sightings… by many including my own eyes…. Earth has become a battle ground again.”

Sho’s eyes grew for half a second understanding the severity of what Matsu had just said. He didn’t bother to ask for clarification. There was no reason for it. Matsu didn’t lie… and he was serious when it came to these sorts. For this reason, Sho knew that it was the exact predicament.

“I see,” Sho answered back. “The Council will probably call the others here as well, then… be expecting me more often.”

“It was good to see you, Sho-kun,” Matsu’s smile returned to his face despite from the fact that there were now gun shots in the background while Aiba and Nino’s screaming voices could still be heard. Matsu let out another laugh before opening the door for Sho and watching him walk out. “Take care,” Matsu called. Sho just nodded and continued walking.

Turning around, Matsu blinked somewhat confused by what was happening in front of him now. Nino had shoved Aiba to the ground and was now sitting on him with his legs crossed. “Now what in the world….” Matsu said in light confusion before he started laughing.

“He started it, and I ended it,” Nino answered back as he continued to sit on Aiba who was sprawled out on the ground like a bear rug.

A sweat drop would have appeared on Matsu’s head if he were an anime character. Instead, he simply laughed back unsure of anything else to do.

Anyways, I was trying to figure out how to do the Nino shooting thing and then ya'll confused me with the morning stuff and ya... so I basically had it to where Nino woke up and had returned Ryuu in the middle of the night without remembering it because Doki was in control. So that is why Ryuu is back XP

I will add Part 2 as soon as I type it up. I figured I'd better split this one into sections since it was so long. Anyways, no you don't get a story telling of just what happened that night after everyone went home and went to bed and Ryuu got kidnapped and stuff lol.. I am not going there with jetlag still irking me to sleep.

Anyways, thank you very much Art-chan for doing the story so far while I was gone. My trip was longer than expected, in the end. Anyways, I'm back now ^-^ I missed this RP~
