Suffering Demands

“Come on try it. It won’t kill you.” Ryoen stared at Ryuu egging him on to at least try some of the food on the plate in his hands. Ryuu finally gave in and took a bit of eggs before sitting down to eat quietly. After a few seconds, Ryuu appeared to stop.

“It is good!” Ryuu answered back looking at Ryoen with a surprised face. Ryo simply smirked back easily satisfied with himself.

“Why are you so shocked I told you I could make human food.” Ryoen answered back with smirking even more. Despite being Greed, he had a considerable amount of pride as well and knew it. In an earlier era, he had even once tried to court Hiawai for this reason and had been smacked down harshly by Noiren. However, no one knew this but the three that were involved.

Taking easy bites of food as he went, Ryoen watched Ryuu mildly.

“Thank you.” Ryuu said as he finished and began to look at the table as if unsure of what else to say. Ryoen, whose elbow had somehow started to rest on the table for some obscure amount of time, leaned back in the chair.

“Don’t worry about it. I told you I wanted human food today.” the red haired demon lord answered back. The kitchen around them began to fade into nothingness once more and then began to reshape back into the training fields. “So lets get going again.” Ryoen finished as he reformed his hammer between again. Clasping it easily in his right hand, the red haired man pulled it towards him and held it with two hands.

The harsh physical training that followed was nothing short of a spectacular performance of skill versus mastery. Ryoen was careful not to push Ryuu to hard, and because of it, the fight continued for an hour straight. However, the training broke off abruptly as calm footsteps hit Ryoen's ears. "Coming to say hi, Solute?" Ryoen looked over even as Ryuu appeared to be jumping forwards to attack him. The red haired demon lord held up the hammer and blocked the attack easily while still staring at the large demon lord walking towards him. "Or what?" Ryoen continued asking even as Solute came closer.

"Noiren wants to see you, Ryo," Solute's voice caused the red haired man's entire body to go numb for a fraction of a minute. It was as if a chill had suddenly ran through him. Looking back at Ryuu who appeared now stopping to hear the conversation, Ryoen grinned a fraction.

"Sorry, Ryuu. I've gotta head out. If you still want to have fun, go find Aeirin. She's around here some-" before he could finish his sentence, Ryoen found Aeirin already standing upside down completely versicle in the air above them. "Well hello Aeirin," Ryoen smiled a fraction. "Would you mind playing with Ryuu for a bit. Noiren's asked me for somethin'."

Aeirin's eyes lit up, and suddenly the girl dropped straight down tackling Ryuu to the ground as sh ewent. Clinging to him, she let out a girlish laugh. "Yay! Yes! Yes please!" she grinned looking back at Ryoen even though she was now sitting atop a Ryuu who had been forced down onto the ground.

"Alright then," Ryoen smirked making a strange salute. "Bye ya." With that, the red haired demon appeared to poof into nothingness. Solute stared for a minute before shaking his head and disappearing as well. Aeirin looked back at Ryuu with a grin. However, suddenly her face dropped.

"I'm mad at you, Ryuu," he said suddenly pinning him to the ground. "You keep taking Ryo away from me." Her eyes were slits as she stared down at him. "So unless you want to suffocate slowly.... don't get any closer to Ryo. He's my buddy not yours." Aeirin's voice was thick with jealousy as though she were Vaporaii herself. "Not yours!" Her face somehow managed to get closer to Ryuu's. Suddenly she pulled away again with a new light smile on her face. "Ok?" she grinned suddenly flying off him and bursting into laughter. "Now let's play! Play a game! Sky tag! You're it!"

"I want to eat your soul," Hiawai reiterated at Matsu who simply stared in horror back. I'm really going to die.... he breathed out in fear. "But you know what would happen if I tried," she sighed outwards backing up again and crossing her arms in front of him. "You took my sight last time, Shi, and I will not fall for the same trap," her voice was stern. "I am not so foolish a woman." Matsu let a breath out and found himself staring at the floor. His entire body had all but deflated. "Instead, Shi," Hiawai continued suddenly pulling a dagger from her sleeve. "I intend to make you pay for what happened to my sight," she continued. Matsu's eyes grew as teh dagger slowly came towards his face.

"No!" he shouted, yet there was nothing he could do. "NO!!!!!!"

The sound of slicing flesh rang through the area followed by screams and laughter. Matsu's head fell forwards throwing blood to the floor as well. Blood coursed down the right side of his face, and then suddenly more screaming broke the air.

"Thank you for the eye, Shi," the melodic voice of Hiawai laughed.
