Aisling wasn’t doing well at the moment. She was running for dear life from…herself? No her past life’s spirit. It confused her of what Brighid is actually. As far as Aisling knows Brighid is an angel or a dead angel that is apart of her. But now wasn’t the time to ponder on it as she had to focus on running away from Brighid and dodging the sword.
“This isn’t fair!” Aisling shouted in frustration. “I don’t know how to fight!”
“Yeah it’s kind of boring when you don’t fight back,” Brighid said swinging her blade and aiming at Aisling’s neck. Most of her attacks were always trying to behead Aisling. It must be the way she died that caused her to use this method. But every time Brighid attacks Aisling manages to dodge but sometimes receives small cuts.
“Come on little princess stop running away! Fight back call on your cards oh wait you can’t because they’re in Limbo…BECAUSE OF YOU!!!”
Aisling flinched as the words hit her hard and because she was distracted Brighid managed to hit her this time. Aisling screamed in pain as she fell to the ground. She clutched her bleeding shoulder and shook from the pain and shock. Stop it this is like a dream the pain is only in my head… Aisling thought. She tried to focus on that so the pain and the injury would go away but Brighid attacked again and Aisling moved away just in time.
“You’re weak and a coward! You only know who to run away when no one’s there to help you!” Brighid said leering at her.
The small red head glared at her. Aisling knew that Brighid was beating her with harsh words to weaken her spirit and break her will. It was working Aisling’s spirit was breaking as her guilt rise up and over whelmed her. It’s my fault...all my fault….she squeezed her eyes shut as tears threaten to flow from her eyes.
“Aw is the little baby going to cry,” Brighid taunted sneering down at Aisling and Aisling stiffen. “Feeling guilty? You should be because your little protectors will be stuck in Limbo forever.” She smirked as she examined the blade. It was clean and it had no trace of blood on it even though Aisling had been cut by it. “You’re so weak it’s a real embarrassment that you’re my reincarnation. Your nothing like me it’s amazing that Morrigan found you when there’s no resemblance between us. I’m sure it had something to do with the cards. Áine gave you the cards so you would be protected by the demons and evil spirits that were constantly after you when you were a child. They were able to protect you from the small fries at least but they failed against the big ones…”
“…shut up….” Aisling said hoarsely through clench teeth.
“Maybe it’s they’re fault they got themselves destroyed,” Brighid continued ignoring Aisling.
“I said shut up…” Aisling stood up straight and glared fiercely at her past life’s spirit.
“They are such failures just like you how pathetic!” Brighid laughed
Finally Aisling snapped, “I said SHUT UP!!!” Aisling jumped forward suddenly and punched Brighid square in the face. The spirit staggered backwards shock plastered across her face along with a red mark from Aisling’s fist. She gaped at the young red head who glared back.
Brighid got over the shock and laughed, “Wow looks like there is some fight in you.”
“Don’t talk bad about my friends again!” Aisling shouted at her.
“Your friends?”
“Yes they’re my friends they’re not just my protections or…” Aisling paused and her eyes widen suddenly.
“What?” Brighid asked frowning at Aisling’s strange behavior.
Aisling didn’t respond but stared ahead of her. She remembered what her cards spirits are or what they were once were. She remembered the spirit of the Emperor Card Aurelius told her that they’re called the Taoitear Spiorads; spirits that were once human or angel that had caused a sin or had angered the gods in some way but the gods didn’t damn them as punishment. Instead they turned them into cards and they were given the chance of redemption by protecting and serving an angel to be. I was meant to become an angel from the start…Aisling thought. But I was also met to stay on earth…she smiled and stood up straight and a spark flared in her green eyes.
Brighid stared at Aisling in utter confusion. “What’s gotten into you? Hey are you finally admitting that I’m right?”
“No,” Aisling said putting her hands on her hips and smiled at Brighid. The wounds had disappeared and she suddenly looked strong and was actually glowing.
“I remembered the purpose of the Taoitear Spiorads; the Card Spirits. It was fated that I would make a contact with them and they would protect me. But not only that they were met to teach me and help me become strong because I was met to become an Earth Guardian.”
Brighid looked at her blankly, “You mean a guardian angel?”
“No an Earth Guardian is an angel that’s still very well connected to the Physical World as then they have a physical body and can be seen by ordinary humans yet they have powers of real angels. They’re main purpose is to act as a bridge between humans and angels. Nephilims are half dark angels and half humans the children of the Fallen. Yes they represent both worlds but they usually become consumed by evil and become demon servants or have nothing to do with either sides; earth, heaven or hell.” Aisling frowned; Did Nana left that part out or was she mistaken? She shook her head and continued.
“Earth Guardian’s destiny is to act as a negotiator to make sure that a war between Heaven and Earth doesn’t happen and they even work to make peace with demons but it mostly doesn’t work out well,” Aisling paused. “However that could change…”
“No….” Brighid whispered shaking her head. “This means I can never go back to Heaven.”
“Until it’s my time,” Aisling said causing Brighid to blink and then smirk.
“And I will end your time!” Brighid shouted and raised her blade again.

In Limbo they felt something was happening. They could feel Aisling battling Brighid but they also felt something else.
“What’s going on?” Puck said confused. The feeling felt familiar.
“Someone is trying to summon us,” Aurelius said his voice sounded amazed and hopeful.
“But that’s impossible,” Puck said. “We’re not in our Space we’re in Limbo the Realm of the Dead.”
“It is possible little one. A summoning shaman has the power to summon spirits from beyond the Physical World.”
Puck blinked in surprised. A shaman? Was it Mr. Doom and Gloom or Mr. Smiles A lot? Puck tried to focus on the presence that was trying to summon them. He didn’t know this presence but it felt familiar. Puck didn’t care who it was as long as they got out of this place. “Come on who ever you are!” Puck shouted at the top of lungs. “You can do it!!!”
They waited anxiously for who knows how long. It was impossible to tell as time didn’t exist in Limbo. Then it felt like the presence had given up as they couldn’t feel the person trying to summon them.
“Come on…come on…” Puck said biting his nails.
Then they felt the energy that gathered around them and they heard a male’s voice strong and clear; "I call from the spirits of the great spirits that rule us... I call as a protector of those that need help... I call as myself Aiba.... Give me the power to reach past my wants and find what is needed.... I summon thee... Spirits of the Cards!" Puck, Brant and all the card spirits were pulled away from Limbo like they were caught in a tornado but it wasn’t freighting it felt very exhilarating.
“Whoo hoo we’re out of here!” Puck shouted and they other cards laughed and cheered with him. “Bye Bob!” Puck shouted at the spirit that lived in Limbo. “Thanks for everything!” Bob smiled and waved in farewell as they disappeared from Limbo.
The cards were back in their dimension which met they were back in the card case in the physical world. Their cheers and laughter echoed around them.
“This is not the time to celebrate!” Aurelius raised his voice over the noise to call for order. “Aisling needs assistance now.”
“We’re on it!” Puck shouted. “Since we don’t need an invitation. Let’s go Brant!”
Brant disappeared with Puck and then reappeared in Aisling’s Psyche.
Brighid was about to attack but stopped in mid swing and whirled around and stare at the Knight and Page. “What…impossible…” she shook her head. “How did you get out of Limbo?”
“With the help from shaman power by some dude named Aiba.” Puck said glaring at Brighid.
“A shaman?” Brighid said darkly.
“Aiba?” Aisling said blinking. She stared at Puck and Brant with a blank face and then smiled as tears glittered in her eyes. “Thank goodness!”
Brighid glared at the card spirits and she turned away from Aisling and advanced at them.
Puck twirled his wand and created a very strong gust of wind and Brighid was knocked off her feet and flew backwards. Brant hurried towards Aisling. To her surprise he held his sword to her. She looked up at him confused.
“It’s your fight so you must wield a sword.” Brant’s voice spoke in Aisling’s head. Aisling nodded and took his sword and he vanished.
Aisling blinked in confusion but could still feel his presence she felt him around her and from the sword she held. “I am shadowing you,” Brant’s voice said. “I will guide you as you wield my sword. In a way I am possessing you but force me out. Shadowing you will help you learn sword fighting techniques.”
“I see,” Aisling said blinking and saw Brighid charging at her. Aisling raised Brant’s sword and blocked it against Brighid’s blade. Aisling gritted her teeth and forced Brighid to back away. Brighid’s eyes narrowed and she shifted to the side and swung to hit Aisling’s side. Aisling blocked the attack then she swung the blade at Brighid.
Brighid was surprised that Aisling was now fighting back but she instantly got over it and focused on fighting.
“Come Aisling!” Puck cheered his little wand had turn into a little banner and he waved it around. “Show her who’s boss!”
Aisling smiled at Puck’s encouragement and Brighid looked annoyed. Brighid swung her blade but Aisling shifted in a way that it looked like she was going to block up kicked Brighid in the knees. Brighid staggered and Aisling knocked the sword away and Brighid fell to the ground she stared up in shock at Aisling standing over her and she pointed the sword at Brighid’s face.
“That kick was kind of low for you Brant,” Puck commented. “But I’m not judging just stating dude.”
“That wasn’t him it was my doing,” Aisling said grinning at the Page. Puck blinked at her and laughed. “Awesome!”
Aisling looked down at Brighid, “Guess I win.”
Brighid nodded and smiled. “Yeah you did I’m very impressed.” Brighid sat on her knees and bowed her head low. “I’m apologize for my actions…when Áine healed you with her power I was awaken and split from you when I sense the power of Heaven…I… lost control…please forgive me.”
“Are you flippin’ serious?!” Puck exclaimed shaking his fist in exasperation. “After trying to get Aisling killed so you could go to Heaven which was like the stupidest idea EVER!!!”
Aisling held up her hand to silence Puck and he complied at her silent command. Aisling raised her sword away from Brighid and let her hand go. The sword floated away and disappeared and Brant took it’s place. Aisling turned to Brighid her face was stern but she smiled gently. “I understand…I forgive you.”
Puck’s jaw dropped and looked comical at the moment. “SAY WHAT?!?!”
“I can sense you are truly sorry,” Aisling told Brighid. “And I don’t have to be an Empath to know because you are me so I know what you’re feeling.”
“Huh?” Puck said blinking. Then he held his head in his hand. “Ugh…now I got a headache.” He floated down in a dramatic fashion and fell into Brant’s hand.
Aisling chuckled and held her hand out to Brighid. The spirit smiled and held Aisling’s hand and disappeared. Aisling closed her eyes and felt Brighid was now apart of her again and not as an individual being that acted like another personality. She sighed and turned to Puck and Brant.
They said nothing as they momentarily felt the guilt that burdened them. “Puck…Brant…I’m sorry…” Aisling said tears falling down her face.
Puck looked at her confused. “Why are you sorry? We should say sorry we failed you.”
Aisling shook her head, “No…I’m sorry that I yelled at you that time…”
“Huh?” Puck said and then his face cleared in understanding. “Don’t worry about that!” Puck said waving his hands and grinned. “We got over that a long time ago.” He coughed and rubbed that back of his head. “But…do you forgive us…for failing to protect you?” He asked nervously.
Aisling smiled at them, “It’s okay I was never mad at you so don’t worry about it.”
Puck and Brant stared at her in silence. Puck sniffed but rubbed his eyes stubbornly. “I’m not crying! I just got something in my eye.”
“Yeah right,” Brant snorted.
“Shut up Tin Man!”
Aisling laughed. All three of them laughed together as the world faded around them. And then Aisling woke up.
“Aisling?” Her grandmother’s voice said softly. She blinked and her vision cleared and realized she was in a hospital as she recognized the surroundings. She looked around and saw Áine standing beside the bed and Aiba slumped against the end of the bed. And she saw the shaman named Ohno.
“Hey guys…” Aisling said after a few moments of silence and then she was engulfed in a bone crushing hug by her grandmother.
“Oh my little one I’m so happy you’re okay!” Áine almost cried. Aisling gasped and winched from being hugged.
“Ah….Miss Angel…you’re hurting her she’s injured remember?” Ohno said he looked surprised at Áine’s behavior but it looked like he was holding back a laugh.
Áine blinked and released Aisling. Aisling fell back against the bed and tried not to groan from the pain. “I’m fine Nana.” She told her grandmother who looked worried and sorry for almost crushing Aisling to death.
“Yes!!!” Aisling jumped saw Puck back flipping in the air. “We’re solid dude! Awesome! I’ll never go back to that place again NEVER!” He shouted Aisling blinked at him and guessed he was talking about Limbo. Puck suddenly stopped when he saw Áine.
“You!” He shouted pointing his finger at the angel woman. “You were a lot of help! You took your sweet time restoring the case and then you had to let some shaman…” He looked around and noticed that presence wasn’t in the room. “Where is he?”
“If your talking about Aiba he left,” Ohno answered him.
Aisling saw Áine was staring at her strangely. “What’s wrong Nana?”
Áine frowned, “I don’t know…something’s different about you…”
Aisling blinked at her. “I guess it’s because I got stronger or that I’ve become the Earth Guardian?”
“What?!” Áine shouted making Puck jump and hid in Aisling’s hair. Her grandmother growled, “HE KNEW!”
“Who knew?” Aisling said confused. Áine didn’t reply but walked out the room. She paused at the door and looked back at Aisling. “I have to go somewhere. I won’t be long I promise.” She looked at Ohno. “Tell Aiba I said thank you.” And she left.

Okay that’s it! I’m so happy that Aisling woke up! She won’t have to worry about getting killed and force to go to Heaven and stuff :D
If your confused about who he is, its’ the arch angel Michael. He knew about Aisling’s destiny to become an Earth Guardian and everything but he didn’t told Áine XD
I hope I got your OCs right guys.
