More thank yous

“So you’re Ai-er…whatever?” Puck hovered close to the dark haired boy. He looked similar to Nino so they’re really are brothers. Aiba stared at the little fairy and then grabbed him out of the air.

“Ow what the…” Puck squirmed in his hand. “Does this run in the family or something! Let go!”

“A…fairy thing…” Aiba stared blankly at Puck.

Aisling laughed nervously as it seemed like everyone thought seeing fairies was strange even people who could see ghosts and demons. Aiba looked at her in confusion

“Heh hi,” Aisling said. “Remember me? We met here at the hospital the other day. And you summoned my card spirits back for me.”

Aiba blinked and then a look of understanding lit up his face. “Oh yeah right!” He said grining with pride. Aisling thought he was thinkg about how he had successfully summoned the cards and she could sense his happy and proud emotions, his positive emotions made her smile.

“Yep!” Puck piped up. “The card spirits…I’m one of them.”

“You are?” Aiba stared blinking at him.

“Ah-huh so can you let me go please?”

“Oh okay sorry,” Aiba let go of Puck. The fairy flew back away several feet in mid air. He was afraid that he would be snatched again.

“Ahem,” said Puck. “I and my fellow card spirits would like to thank you for summoning us back home.” He said with a bow. “If it wasn’t for you we would be stuck in Limbo and Aisling would have not made it…well thanks.” He cleared his throat and flew over to Aisling and perched on her shoulder.

“Uh you’re welcome,” Aiba said scratching his chin and looked bashful. He looked at Aisling, “So you won the battle?”

Aisling blinked confused for a minute of what’s he talking about then she remember. “Oh yeah I did,” Aisling said looking at her hands shyly.

“That’s right she did and it’s thanks to you dude!” Puck said enthusicallly.

Aiba grinned, and Aisling saw that Nino looked confused.

“Are all the card spirits are fairy creatures like you?” Aiba asked Puck curiously.

“There are three others like me,” Puck answered him. “But I’m the cool one!”

“Meh,” Mari huffed and Puck turned around and made a wet raspberry at her.

Aiba laughed and Aisling giggled quietly.

“Aisling!”

The red head girl jumped and looked up and saw her grandmother. Aíne had her hands on her hips and she glared sharply at her. Aisling gulped. “Uh…hi…Nana.”

“Why are you out of bed?” Aíne said walking over to Aisling and frowned down at her. “You shouldn’t be up.”

“But I’m fine…”

“I know but the doctors and nurses know you were hit by a car and seeing you walk around like you’re perfectly fine is suspicious.” She looked down at Aisling’s arms and saw that the bruises were gone as they had already healed themselves from Aisling’s angelic powers. Her green and purple eyes moved up and glared at Puck who hid in Aisling’s long hair.

“Puck I know it was your idea to take the children on a joy ride what were you thinking?”

“Uh…” Puck peered through the long red locks and grinned sheepishly at the angel woman. “I thought it would be good if Aisling try her new wings out. You know training? Hehehe….” He laughed nervously and fell silent when Aíne glared down at him.

She sighed and turned to look at the two dark haired shamans. “I’m sorry if they or him had caused any trouble,” She shot a glare at Puck again and he looked down nervously. She looked at Aiba sitting on the bed. She glanced at his injuries and almost sighed out loud. They make vessels too young what are they thinking…she shook her head and said to Aiba. “Thank you for helping my granddaughter.” She said with a small bow.

Aiba blinked, “You’re welcome…”

Aíne nodded and turned to Aisling, Mari and Kaki. “Let’s leave them be, Mari and Kaki we’re going home. Aisling you’ll have to go back to bed until the doctors here allow you to leave. You’re parents are going to visit you in the morning.”

“Okay,” Aisling said following her grandmother out of the room with Mari and Kaki. She stopped to look back at Aiba and Nino and waved them goodbye and said, “Get well Aiba and I hope Matsu will get well too.”

Aisling walked into the hall and joined Aíne and her friends.

“Aisling,” Aíne said after a moment of silence. “Do you know that those shamans are Vessels?”

Aisling blinked, “Uh I heard they were called that but I don’t know what that means exactly.”

Aíne sighed, “Puck explain it to her.”

“Yes ma’am.” Puck said.

Aíne nodded and they stopped in front of the elevator where they left the wheelchair. “When you take Aisling back to bed, I want you bring that back where you found it.” She ordered sternly pointing at the wheelchair.

“Gotcha…” Puck said bowing his head heaved a deep sigh.

“What was that?” Aíne said her eyes narrowing.

“I mean yes ma’am,” Puck said quickly straighten up.

“That’s better,” Aíne said pushing a button and walking into the elevator with Mari and Kaki.

“Good night,” Aisling said waving goodbye before the doors closed.

Puck huffed and waved his wand to control the wind. The wheelchair moved and rolled down the hall. “You don’t have to do that,” Aisling said. “I can do it.”

“No Lady Aíne ordered me. Even though she’s not my master I have to follow all high ranking angels unless you disagree with them.”

Aisling blinked, “Hey I just realized that you’re not calling me M’ Lady anymore.”

“Yeah…after we died again…we all realized that we’re more like you’re friends than your servants.” Puck said and smiled bashfully. "We never carried our previous charges as much as you before."

Aisling smiled, “Not ‘like’ you are all my dear friends.”

Puck sniffed and rubbed his eyes. “Ugh got something in my eyes again.”

Aisling laughed and returned to her room.
