"We have to lay down a ground rule. No getting into my head. I want to be able to surprise you whenever I want. I don't want you knowing every little thing that runs through my head," She told me.
A light laugh escaped me and I rubbed the back of my head. “Alright I’ll just use it in emergencies and you know you’ve never been very good at sneaking up on me I’m half blind remember?”
She laughed “I know but still.”
“Oh…” I started taking the bracelet off my belt loop and putting it on her wrist. “I want you to have this.” I stated putting on her wrist.
“But didn’t you get it for your birthday?” She asked looking at it.
“Yea but it will help you; it’s a shaman item, you notice how there’s seven charms on it right? Well each charm represents one of the demon lords. When one of the demon lords is nearby one of them will light up.” I smiled “But it doesn’t work with me, also that way you know if my dad is close by or not. You know for a less likely chance that Aoi will take over.” Emiko practically jumped off the bed and hugged me.
“Thank you.” She whispered in my ear.
“Your welcome.” I told her hugging her back. “Now get some rest.” I said picking her up and setting her down on the bed.
“But I really don’t feel that tired.” She responded.
“Em I can put you to sleep.” I said seriously.
“What did I just say? No getting into my head.” She mentioned.
“I was only joking but I can make people go to sleep; at least try and get some rest.” I sighed brushing some of her hair out of her face and kissing her. “Night I’ll see you in the morning.” I said after parting.
I was too tired to go and check out so I went back to my room and attempted to sleep. But the thought of Matsu not understanding why he senses things much stronger now was still bothering me. I would have to talk to him tomorrow about it.
