Sanctuary

“Hey where are we?”

Aisling looked up and saw Aiba was awake. She noted that he looked much better than he did before by the smile on his face. She slowly dropped the barrier around her Empathic senses and sensed he was really calm. She smiled pleased that he was at peace.

“This place is called Sanctuary,” Aisling told him stroking the wolf’s head. Ookami’s ears twitched but he appeared contempt and didn’t move. “It’s where angels to be train. The only ones that can come here are angels and earth spirits but I can bring others with me.” She smiled up at Aiba.

Aiba blinked at and looked confused. “Wait….so this is heaven?”He looked shock for a moment he must be thinking that he had died.

“No,” Puck said brushing the dirt off of him and glaring at the wolf for brushing him aside. “This is Sanctuary. There’s on way you could step in Heaven’s boundaries when you’re still alive. The only ones that can go to Heaven are angels, of course, and spirits of the dearly departed who left the Living World for good.”

“Oh…” Aiba said. “Cool…but why am I here?”

Aisling blushed and looked away, “I…waited to help you…” She said shyly. She glanced back at Aiba and saw he looked slightly confused then he smiled.

“Heh thanks,” Aiba said rubbing the back of his head. “I feel much better than I did before.” Aisling smiled at his words and looked down at the wolf on his lap.

“So,” Aiba said after a few moments of peaceful silence. “What do we do now?”

Puck grinned, “Let’s have some fun!” He zoomed around like an excited dragonfly. “Since you’re an honored guest you can change the scenery to whatever you want. How about a beach? Or an amusement park? Whatever you want so go nuts!” He said laughing.

“Whatever I want?” Aiba said blinking. “Hmm…” He crossed his arms and appeared to be thinking.

Aíne looked down at the sleeping Aisling and thought she saw a smile flickered across girl’s face. She felt that her granddaughter would be fine so she decided she would leave her alone.

The angel turned to Sho, “Thank you.” She said. “You are right the war must end as soon as possible.” Her purple and green eyes gazed over at Aisling and then Aiba. “For their sake.”

Sho nodded. “Will you talk to the Seraphim Choir about an alliance?” He asked her looking into her eyes.

Aíne frowned but nodded. “I will speak to them but they are very traditional and have very long memory. They may not listen to me,” Her eyes moved to look down at Aisling. “However they may listen to her…” She murmured quietly. Aisling is an Earth Guardian that’s the bridged between Heaven and Earth and it’s her duty to act as the representative for both humans and angels. But would they really take her seriously when she’s just a little girl?

Aíne sighed and looked up at Sho. “I must go now,” She told him. She wanted the Unknown to be safe so she planned on going back to Heaven.

Sho nodded in acknowledgement. Aíne left, when she was out of the hospital she fanned her wings out and took off into the air. She was about to teleport to Heaven when the Unknown in her pocket started acting up. She frowned and took it out of her pocket. The blank card was glowing bright white Aíne’s eyes focused on it and she saw thin white threads floating from the card and into the air.

Her eyes widen as she stared up at the threads. It shouldn’t act like this unless there are several of them in one group. She flew up into the sky and followed the threads. She was focusing on the threads that she didn’t know where she was going until she saw the house.

“What?!” She stopped and floated in the air. It was her family’s house. She stared and looked down at the Unknown in her hand. The threads led to the yard on the side of the house. She frowned and followed the threads that led to the sacred glad.

She landed on the edge of the stone circle and saw the stones were glowing just like the card in her hand. She stared at the waist height stones and looked at the card. “Could it be….?” She walked to the nearest stone that was the shape of a pointed headed tombstone. She put her hand out and touched the glowing stone. Her hand went through the stone as she expected, she moved her hands around as if she was searching for something then her hand grasp at something and she pulled her hand out.

The object in her hand glowed between her fingers. She opened her hand and it was an antique ballpoint pen. “Another one?” She stared at the object in her hand. Her eyes narrowed and she went to the other stones. Just like she did to the first she stuck her hand into the other glowing stones and pulled out another Unknown. “One, two…three….four….five…twelve???” She shook her head in disbelieve. “How did I not notice they were here?” She looked around the glade. “Yes…this is a sacred place that emits strong spiritual energy a perfect hiding place for them…if I didn’t have this.” She looked at the blank card. “I would never have known about them…”

Why were they all here? She thought. Did Richard and Molly have something to do with it? They were summoners of course but why are they collecting them? Aíne shook her head and narrowed her eyes at the Unknown.

“Molly…Richard… when you return you have a lot of explaining to do.”
