The Twisting of Things to Come

"If you think I'm here to 'destroy the parasitic humans', or cause havoc for fun, you're way off target. I'll admit. I'm too selfish and serious for that." the demon had retorted. Matsu's eye was still sharp as he looked at the demon. The white haired man had slowly built something within himself that he could not explain... He could blame Hiawai fro what she did, yet he was unsure if even this was the cause of the new emotion taking to him.

The demon lookede away, yet Matsu didn't stop staring. "I'm here for help from someone who I can relate to. And someone who will help me," the demon continued. Matsu's gaze did not move. He simply waited. "That girl... Sephira. She's a strong summoner. Maybe you don't know, but Demon summoners are rare. The few of us that exist are limited to certain types of summons. I can only summon dark spirits. When I fist sighted her in the human world, she was summoning the spirit Artemis. A Dark summon on an extremely high level, I took interest. I knew she was right when she managed an even higher level dark summon."

Matsu said nothing, but his mind was working none the less. So he's a high level demon... Far higher than Loki who Nino faced... and Summoning.... I thought only one of the Seven Demon Lords could summon... I don't have full information on demons, but I could always ask Sho-kun.... "So why do you want her?" Matsu asked staring still. He was far more on edge that before, yet Shi was not awake.. Hiawai was not around... yet he was on edge by the demon. If the demon said anything lower than expected or something about the Unknowns, Matsu wouldn't hesitate to tear his head off at that point in time. Demons should all be destroyed... I hate them.... Matsu was not used to his own anger... yet it was there.... and obscure to him to say the least of things.... The image of Hiawai seemed to work its way into his mind, and it only caused Matsu to tighten more.

"For revenge. I don't fear taking someone who can control such dark power as she does to the demon realm. My father... when I was young, he killed my mother, a semi-powerful demoness, for thrill. I despise him. Since then, I've been searching for any way to kill him in return. But I'm not nearly powerful enough to take him on myself. I simply wish for someone's help in taking him out," the demon had answered back.

Matsu's eye twitched a fraction, and the need to tear the demon's head off moved into his mind. Why am I so angry..... Matsu thought to himself. Why can't I hide this anger.... what is wrong with me..... Matsu found himself not believing the demon even more than before and was all but ready to form his katana fully and finish the work. Why can't I hide this... why can't.....

"Look, I'm not here to hurt anyone. I'm here for the girls help and leaving. Won't step foot in this realm again. I'll send her back, too." Edanial said aloud. Matsu said nothing. "You want more proof? My powers are sealed in this eye. Only another demon can break the seal. With them in here, I hardly stand a chance in a fight with the most inexperienced shaman or summoner. If you catch me off my word, you could kill my in a moments notice."

The sight of the eye sent something through Matsu. A darker part of him... not Shi... but something else... seemed to twist its way into his stomach.... I want to tear his eye out..... Matsu found his teeth digging into the inside of his mouth. However, in that moment, A strange facade seemed to work its way over Matsu, and he allowed himself to appear relaxed once again gaining control over his abilities...

"Besides..I couldn't kill her if I wanted..." the demon answered back. Feeling the obscure emotion that ran off the demon, Matsu found his head turned and his sight directed out the window.

"If you don't mind, this body gets rather hungry. I'll be going down to that cafeteria..." Edanial said aloud. Matsu said nothing for a moment.

"If you harm anyone... I'll tear that eye out of your skull...." Matsu said with a strangely light voice. He could have been giving a compliment for the way he was sounding. The demon seemed to freeze a moment, and Matsu's eye moved to the side once again to stare at him. "And then I will proceed to chop you into nothingness...slowly...so slowly that you will scream out in pain and then wait again only to feel the fear of screaming out in pain once more..You'll be succumbed to such suffering as you have never known in your existence, Demon...I will not allow you to recruit a summoner here in this world.. but I will leave you to this world for now... at least. If you try and take Sephira from this world, I will kill you. If you try to convince her to leave with you, I will kill you, and if you think I am lying, I will kill you." With that, Matsu's eye returned out the window once more.

Edanial seemed to let a breath out as though unnerved.

Shi was unnerved, to say the least of things. He had never, for the history of being a part of Matsu's mind and body, felt the cold emotion that Matsu had projected through nearly everything. The vessel spirit found a sudden worry take fold of him. Matsujun... what are you doing? Shi asked aloud into the white haired man's mind. However, the only thing that was projected back at him was an image of a smiling face and a block from Matsu's thoughts. Trying to force his way into Matsu's mind, Shi found it impossible... he was completely confined to his area.

"Fine..." the demon finally said as though unsure of what else to say on the matter. "I... understand."

"Good..." Matsu answered back as a cool smile worked its way over his face. It was light in nature and far from the ice that his words had sparked. "Now you are free to do as you wish in terms of what I have laid down... please feel free to head down to breakfast, but if Ohno is not there with Sephira, please leave." Matsu opened his one eye fully forming a strange leer towards the demon.

Edanial looked away as though unsure of what to do. "Fine..." he answered back not saying anything for a minute. "Fine..." he finished before taking a few steps out towards the exit of the room.

"Have a good day, Edanial," Matsu smiled a bit watching him go.

Matsujun! What are you doing! Shi's voice finally reached the white haired man.

Shut up you annoying little bastard before I hang you by your vocal chords and cast you out of my head for good.... Matsu threatened lightly back with a smile on his face. After a moment, the white haired man leaned back and fell into the bed sighing to himself. I feel... very different....but I like it...... Matsu thought to himself with a smile on his face.

However, in the few seconds after, Matsu's eye quivered a fraction, and he felt a sudden rush of emotion take over him. Did I really just say all those things....How could I just..... he was increasingly unnerved and found himself shaking on the bed. Forcing himself forwards and sitting upwards, Matsu placed his head on his knees as his hand moved up to the bandages on his eye. He was shaking still. What is happening to me...... His body was still after that.

"So, you sensed it about him too? And Matsu-kun, too?" Ohno looked over for a minute before stretching his arms forwards.

"Yeah. That guys a demon if I ever knew one," he answered wondering if Sephira would take it as a joke or really understand what he meant.

"It took a few moments for me to distinguish it, but I wasn't so sure when he said he was a dark summoner. Tell me, is my 'aura', as some call it, different from a shaman or normal person? Then why couldn't different kinds of summoners have different 'auras?' But when you walked in, I noticed your reaction to his spirit energy. Same with Matsu-kun. So I thought maybe he really is one. But he doesn't seem to mean harm. If he wanted, he could have hurt me while I slept, but he didn't. What do you think?" Sephira asked as tehy finally reached the cafeteria.

Ohno said nothing but sighed a bit and shook his head. "I'm not as special when it comes to sensing things as Mattie is... which is why I walked up there in the first place, really." He sighed outwards. "I'm not special in a lot of things..." he muttered to himself to the point Sephira couldn't here. "But Mattie knows he's a demon... so I'll leave it up to him to chose what to do about it, you know what I mean?" Ohno joked lightly. Sephira blinked as though not really getting what he meant. "I'm not a fighter or a bossman... those are other people's jobs... they're more special than me at those things... but I can at least get information... so I get it and go and leave everyone else to do their work hahaha."

Sephira forced a laugh as well as though she still didn't take to his meaning but felt the need to laugh anyways. Walking towards the line, Ohno picked up a cup of soup already sitting out through the food line and then moved to pay for it. Sephira seemed to take to what she wanted as well. The red haired man paid for everything despite any complaints that would have been made.

“Aíne!” Mei Rin had called as soon as she saw the red haired woman appear. Running forwards, Mei nearly but forced herself forwards to try and catch the other angel. As Aine stopped, Mei Rin managed to catch her.

“Hello Mei Rin,” Aíne answered back once she had noticed the girl.

“Did you talk to my brother? Did you give him my message?” Mei asked with a sudden smile on her face.

“I did,” the elder angel answered back “He was very surprised to hear from you and then he told me to that he says hello as well.”

“Thank you I’m so glad,” Mei said suddenly so happy to hear it.

“I have to go. It was nice seeing you again Mei Rin.” Aine said. Mei Rin nodded a bit and watched the woman walk up the stars.

Looking down at nothing particular for a minute, Mei Rin felt the strange happiness run through her. She had watched him... Ohno... her twin brother... She had watched him yet could not go down to meet him... she wanted to... beyond reason... yet the Choir had forbade her to leave Heaven. It hurt her.. intensely to a point she could not describe, yet to hear that he had gotten her words... her message.... It made her so happy she could have cried. I just wish.... Mei shook her head and sighed. If wishes were fishes.....

Turning back now, Mei stared outwards on Heaven. She wanted to leave it... despite the beauty and perfectness of it... she wanted to leave.... However, the Choir had ordered her to stay.... They gave no full reason but said something to the likes of that she wouldn't be able to handle being down in the human world.... It infuriated her at first... made her challenge their authority... yet there was nothing she could do and eventually found herself trapped in the end of it all.

In such a sanctuary... my heat calls it a prison.... she found herself quoting the line of a popular poem but couldn't bring herself to fully state it. She found herself strangely sitting on the steps of the Choir chamber yet didn't remember coming or sitting there. She stared a moment quietly before sighing outwards and rising again putting a hand on her arm and closing her eyes. Just once..... she begged suddenly forcing herself to transport to the human world. She didn't care what the Choir said... she wanted to see him... see what kind of man Ohno was fully.

Appearing in the human world was a sudden shock to Mei Rin, to say the least of things... The feeling of it was strange... like a weight or something of that nature. She nearly felt herself drop. Once studying herself the young angel looked around. She was in a bathroom.... strange to be, yet Mei remembered all she had focused on was trying to find Ohno's spirit signature and had projected herself as close as possible. Walking past a mirror, she nearly jumped at not seeing herself go by. The reflection was gone. Staring back at the mirror now unnerved, Mei placed her hands on the glass and found she was falling right through. A fear gripped her sharply as she backed up quickly and away from the mirror. He hands were methodically cracking her own knuckles in worry.

I... I knew spirits didn't have a physical form... but I thought... I thought I'd be able to touch things... like... in Heaven but..... No... there has to be a way for me to have a solid form... I'm an angel, right? They've been fighting down here with solid forms... so... Mei Rin found herself shaking her had and having her red hair smack her in the face. Stopping a moment, she sighed outwards.

"You need to focus on a form, Mei Rin...." Aine's voice said causing the girl to jump and turn. The angel was standing there as if she had been there the entire time.

"Aine... I..." Mei tried as though trying to find up an excuse. Aine simply shook her head.

"It's alright...." the other angel said aloud. "But you could have asked the Choir first before coming down...."

"I.... didn't want them to have a chance to say no....I just wanted to talk with my brother... tell him about things and..." she broke off a bit watching Aine now.

"The Choir is not so harsh that they would deny you this, Mei Rin... they were fearing for your safety and the shock of what coming down on Earth would do to you," Aine sighed outwards. "A spirit that jumps straight from their body to Heaven without wandering the Earth can come into shock if they are not ready to return to Earth,."

"I...." Mei said looking away unsure of anything to say.

"It's alright... now focus on trying to find a physical form... being an angel allows you to do this... find what you want to look like... and then work from there..."

Closing her eyes, Mei imagined exactly how she was. Upon opening her eyes, the young girl looked into the mirror again and found her reflection stable. Sighing with a breath of relief, Mei nodded to herself.

"Good... now how about we go see your brother..." Aine smiled lightly. Mei's eyes lightens as she looked around the bathroom again. Thankfully no one had been in there to see a girl suddenly appear out of nowhere. Walking forwards towards the exit, Mei stepped out and found herself in a hallway. A cafeteria was just on the other side of it, and suddenly red hair caught Mei's eyes. Suddenly closing the door sharply and turning around, Mei seemed to flush red.

"What's wrong?" Aine asked blinking.

"I... I saw him..." Mei Rin answered back looking up. "I saw Ohno...."

"Then why don't we go out and meet him..." Aine asked lightly.

"I..." Mei's face suddenly changed forms. "What if he doesn't recognize me?"

Aine turned her head to one side and smiled sweetly. "Come now... he will recognize you...." she sighed. Mei Rin shook her head as if defiantly.

Hiawai watched the world below. She saw the blond girl... along with the boy she had been watching earlier. Mari and Kaki. They had fled the other girl's house and were attempting to leave the area entirely. Biting her finger, Hiawai smirked a bit to herself. "Well we can't have that now can we...." she laughed a bit to herself. "Sadine would you mind playing with them for a bit?"

Almost instantly a form appeared behind the Demon Lord and took somewhat of a human form. Sadine stood tall, tan, and awaiting her Mistress's full orders.

"Show them a good time..." Hiawai smiled a bit.

"Yes, m'lady..." Sadine answered back disappearing off towards the two blonds.
