Butler and mistress pushed open the doors of the hospital and looked around the lobby. “What do you want to do first My Lady?” asked Christian.
“Look around I guess; but let’s avoid the staff if you know what I mean,” Ariana turned her head as if to locate any offending workers.
“That can easily be arranged My Lady,” the demon responded with a smooth smile.
After successfully slipping through the lobby without being noticed Ariana and Christian walked to the second floor. Whenever Christian passed a nurse, they would gaze after him longingly making Ariana irritated.
“Are you jealous Lady Ariana?” A mischievous smirk graced his mouth as he leaned down to whisper into her ear.
“N-No,” she whispered back, “but have you seen the way those nurses are looking at you? They’re about as subtle as a bulldozer.”
Christian gave a low chuckle, “Nice wording.”
They continued through the second floor; Ariana would walk past doors and feel if their problems were supernatural, “This one was possessed by a ghost; this one rejected the love of a goddess—not a good thing to reject,” she felt for the poor guy.
Christian looked ahead and noticed a man walking down the hallway toward them. His hair was dark brown and tied at the back of his neck, one eye green and the other brown. Extremely tall and well-built, he wore a T-shirt and jeans. Christian’s hand squeezed his mistress’ shoulder and she glanced at the man; turning back to Christian a look of understanding passed between them.
Walking in unison, they moved past the man, light smiles on their face. Once they had passed him they stepped down another hallway out of sight.
Sho Sakurai stopped walking a puzzled expression creasing his face. Turning around he saw that the two people he passed were gone. Shaking his head he continued walking again thoughts back on Matsu and Nino, The Council will handle them.
