*}*Ariana and Christian*{*
Hiding around the corner of the hallway they had entered, Ariana and Christian waited for the man to say or do something, anything. After a short time, the waiting was over.
“I expect you want something,” the man’s voice said to apparently empty space. Christian and Ariana knew however that he was talking to them. Christian looked at his mistress who nodded.
“You are indeed insightful,” the incredibly handsome demon smoothly greeted the man. He came out from behind the corner and saw the man turn around and cross his arms. Ariana followed Christian, a wary yet calm look on her face.
“Answer the question, if you would be so kind. It was a question you know,” the tall man said amiably. Christian only looked at him; he knew it was a question—a rhetorical one.
“We do not want anything but to simply see what there is to see at the moment,” Ariana calmly spoke this time. Yet she was unhappy when she said it, because she was starting to have an idea of what there was to see in the hospital.
“I expect that you want something more if you are wandering these hallways when I believe you already know what lies in here,” the brown haired male answered.
A calm smile suddenly broke out on Christian’s face but he remained silent. He knew what was in the hospital all right.
Ariana spoke again, “We are aware that there are people working on the haunted school case…and we are aware that there is a war starting…” Ariana lost her morose expression and looked the man in the eyes, “We came here to see those that were also working on the case. And we expect you are one of those people.”
“You are mistaken then,” dark honey gold eyes widened in surprise for a minute at the jean clad man’s response, “I have no intention of solving a case. I have far more worse matters to attend to.”
“I see…” she mused. Then perhaps he’s here because of the incoming war.
“M’lady…” Christian’s voice brought her out of her mind, “…there appears to be another demon within the hospital…” he turned his head a little, “And it appears he is heading downstairs…”
Ariana nodded a fraction. Yes, he had mentioned something like that when outside the building.
“Shall we pursue him?” Christian turned his head more tousled blond locks shifting with the movement.
“It does suit for now,” Ariana answered her demon butler. She wanted to know why there was another demon in the hospital; curiosity had won out.
The man with the two colored eyes made his way past them and headed for the downstairs obviously off to confront the other demon. Ariana and Christian watched him move away from them.
“You know My Lady,” Christian remarked looking at his mistress, “when we were chatting with that man you were talking quite respectfully, almost like I do.”
Amber eyes looked back at Christian, “I…I suppose I was.” At that exact moment, the lights in the hospital shut off, leaving only darkness.
“C-Christian,” whispered the dark purple haired girl, “What’s going on?” Fear edged into her voice. “Did demons cause this?” The very thought was frightening; if it was too much for her, her curse could take over. No, it can’t take over; not here, not now.
“Don’t worry Milady,” tense and watchful, Christian wrapped an arm around Ariana and pulled her close as they saw the darkness around them, “demons did not cause the blackout.”

What did cause the blackout anyway KC? I'm guessing it was coincidental...
