I didn't know who was more shocked about the spirit gun. Me or Elle. I couldn't believe I had actually been able to summon it in the heat of battle, and it was even more detailed and powerful than before. Nino's practicing really payed off. And, now I understood why it had been so hard for him to say how to form the gun. I hadn't even really thought much about it; it just sort of happened.
"You're going to have to explain about that later," Elle said aloud, breaking through my thoughts. I shook her head, closed my fingers, and watched the gun disappear again, sighing outwards. Unsure of how I was going to do so. I shot her a small smile to reassure her everything was ok.
Thank you for shooting that blasted demon for me as well... Nani sighed to me. She was getting on my nerves to say the least of things, and in this form I find it harder to fight....
I nodded to her, "Thank you for helping me. I wouldn't have gotten here without your help as well."
I turned to the others, "Is everyone ok?" I asked. Elle nodded her head. The others mimicked her movement. "Mind explaining what exactly happened?"
Elle looked down. "It was Ryuu. He seemed to be..."
Mari interrupted her, "Possessed or something. These angels came down and stopped him before he could do anything and took him away. He seemed to have reverted back to his normal self. He was after Kaki."
I frowned. Ryuu. What was happening to you? "I'm going to head on over to Ryuu's place. Even if he isn't there, maybe Kara can tell me something. I need to make sure he's ok." I exchanged a look with Elle and took off towards Ryuu's house.
Elle ran after me, stopping me when she grabbed my wrist. "Em, look, I want you to be careful around Ryuu. If he was possessed before, there's no way of knowing if he could be back under that again when you find him."
"I trust Ryuu, Elle. He'd never do anything to hurt me," I told her with confidence. There was no doubt in my voice.
"Yes, but he seems to be involved in something huge. Demonic huge, and that's nasty business. I don't want you to get caught in the fires. Ryuu may not intentionally hurt you, but..." her voice trailed off, leaving the sentence hanging.
I frowned slightly. "Elle, I understand you are worried, which is weird. Since when do we get along? But, whatever. But, I can handle myself. I've been doing some training of my own."
She nodded with a sad smile on her face. "Whatever you say."
I gave her an odd look but brushed passed her and continued on down the street.
