~Ryuu~
Was that a bad idea to say that? What if she doesn’t love me back?
“It doesn’t matter to me that you are different than normal guys, Ryuu. If I wanted normal, I wouldn’t be in this profession talking to you right now.” Emiko paused for a moment “I love you, too. I love you for who you are weird, abnormal phenomena and all.” She said with a smile.
It looked like she was going to kiss my nose so I tilted my head up a bit more and caught her lips. She didn’t seem to mind and pressed into my lips so I did the same. My hands moved up to her waist pulling her in closer and she ran her fingers through my hair. I didn’t care that she was my fathers’ vessel I loved her and didn’t want to let her go. But we both needed to breathe so yea.
Before we could kiss again it felt like my body froze.
“Ryuu…” She started but then realized what I was feeling.
Something was coming and it had a demonic prescience. Standing in front of Emiko I formed my gauntlets and then transformed them into a detailed katana. It had a dragon wrapping its way around the blade and snow crystals on the hilt, along with the classic leather wrapping for the handle. I brought my open hand up and quickly closed it catching an arrow that came shooting out of the portal that was opening up on the other side of the kitchen.
“You are much faster than I would have thought Ryuu Yuki.” Helga laughed walking out of the portal.
I snapped the arrow and it disappeared “What the hell do you think you’re doing Helga?” I asked. I heard Em hop off the counter.
She didn’t say another word and drew another arrow and fired. Blocking that attack I jumped up over the table with ease and swung down with the force to kill her in one blow. She dodged the strike and ran out the door.
“What was that about?” Emiko questioned.
“I’m not sure…Helga never seemed like one to attack someone for no reason. Even if she is a demon.” I answered. “We shouldn’t worry about it but we should keep our guards up just in case she comes back.” I said letting my weapon disappear. Being a Moratorium I can since demons faster than anyone else. Helga was coming back because I didn’t follow her and she was coming right behind Emiko. “Em move!” I shouted pushing her out of the way and a sword pierced my rib cage just barely missing my left lung. I coughed up some blood. “Bitch you…knew that I would push her out of the way and take the hit didn’t you?” I asked.
“You know you’re smarter than you look boy.” She smirked and wrenched the blade out of my chest and blood trailed behind it. “It’s disappointing though I was hoping to cleave off your head in one shot.” She grabbed my hair and lifted me up off the ground. “No shall we finish this outside boy this is much too nice of a house to splatter with blood.” Before I could say anything she teleported us just outside the house.
Chucking me to the ground and stabbed down cutting my bicep as I rolled out of the way and up to my knees. “Why the hell are you coming after me Helga what did I do to you?” I asked jumping out of the way of another attack.
She didn’t respond and transformed her sword back into a bow forming an arrow out of nothing she drew back and fired. I took the moment to get close and kick her up into the air then I followed her and slammed my heal into her gut launching her back down to the ground and making it crack under her. Landing softly on the ground I kept my distance from her.
“Now tell my why are you trying to kill me? Do you have a grudge against me? Or were you ordered to come here by Aeirin?” She disappeared.
Emiko ran out of the house “Ryuu are you alright?” She asked.
“I’m fine.” I answered “Sorry about pushing you.” I said.
“Don’t worry about it I knew you were just trying to protect me.” Emiko smiled.
I smiled back and then looked down at the ground. “We have to move now.” I told her but before we could what seemed like wind vines wrapped around our ankles and then caught our arms pulling us down to our knees.
We heard Helga laughing as she reappeared in front of us. “Go ahead keep struggling it will only make it all the more fun to kill you and your little girlfriend at once.” Helga laughed. She walked over to Emiko and placed a hand on Em’s chin. “Should I kill her first so I can watch you suffer?” She smiled evily.
I tried pulling my arms up away from the concrete. “It’s no use struggling the wind vines are so strong hardly anyone can break them.” Helga laughed.
My spiritual pressure rose and my nails and fangs grew back. “Why don’t you test me on that theory.” I smirked at her and let my spirit energy rapidly increase. I pulled my hands up off the concrete and got them up towards my shoulders making the wind vines snap because of the force on them. With what energy I had left I stood up and formed my gauntlets then shifted them into a gun and placed it right against Helgas head. “Now die.” I said pulling the trigger.
Helga fell to the ground motionless and dissolved into the ground. The vines disappeared from around my ankles and on Emiko. I put the gun down to my side and it disappeared. Emiko got under my arm before I could fall to the ground and she helped me into the house.
