~Emiko~
The demon woman, who Ryuu had called Helga, fell to the ground after Ryuu had killed her with a spirit weapon. She dissolved into the ground, and the vines that were binding Ryuu's and my ankles disappeared. I glanced over at Ryuu, taking my eyes of the dissolving body before me and noticed he was swaying a bit and rushed over to grab him before he fell.
Helping him into the house, I sat him down on the couch. I hurried into the kitchen for a glass of water and returned it to him. Ryuu wasn't unconscious, and I was determined to not let him pass out. I sat on my legs on the floor in front of him, leaning up between his legs to feel his forehead. He was a little clammy.
"You didn't have to go so crazy," I told him with a weak smile.
He frowned, breathing heavily. "What do you mean?"
I gave him a look. "I can fight too. You aren't the only one who has been training. Nino's been training me and working with me. I can form a spirit weapon of my own. I can form a gun. And with practice, it'll get pretty strong. The last time I used it, you were being controlled, but it is getting more and more detailed and more powerful! I won't be at the level that Nino is at, but in time it'll be pretty intricate." I was getting so into what I was talking about that I didn't notice the small smile forming on Ryuu's lips.
"What?" I asked, sitting back down on my legs.
"Nothing. You were just getting so worked up about your gun. It's kinda funny," he replied.
I chuckled slightly. "How are you feeling?" I asked, changing the subject suddenly.
He shrugged his shoulders. "It's better. After I rest a bit, we'll be golden."
"Then just lay down and take it easy," I told him, moving his feet so he was laying the long way on the couch. I crawled in next to him and snuggled up to him, so that we were laying together, scrunched, on the couch. I moved my hand onto his chest and he wrapped his hand around my back, kissing my head softly. I could have laid like that all day.

“As Sho always used to say ‘Vessels aren’t supposed to have relationships’ seeing as we’re all supposed to be preparing to die anyways….” Ame sighed outwards and seemed to shrink on the wall. “But it’s nice to dream….”
Elle holed up in her thoughts. Emiko was a vessel; she had to know the repercussion of being one, and yet she was in a relationship with Ryuu. Granted, that kid had enough problems and weird things going on with him, and I didn't know everything that was going on in that department, but still. The two seemed so happy together, like no matter the future, nothing was going to bother them in their little world.
"You're thinking of your cousin, Emiko, aren't you?" Ame broke into my thoughts.
I nodded. "Ya. I feel bad; I guess I kind of pity them. I mean, the two are so in love with each other, yet their relationship isn't going to end well, and they know that."
"They are a unique couple," Ame admitted.
I nodded. "Those two are going to marry each other," I laughed thinking of how much they spend together. "I can't really picture Emiko in a wedding dress, though." I laughed at the thought. "Or any dress really."
Ame nodded, a small smile playing at her lips.
"Are you feeling any better?" I asked her suddenly.
"Yes, my strength is returning," she nodded her head, her teal hair pooling over her shoulders.
"Good." I smiled, wondering about the futuer: my future, Em's future. It was going to be interesting, no matter the outcome.
