Aisling waited in Mari's room that was next door to Kaki's room.
"I think I heard the front door open," Aisling said standing up from a chair. "I guess Ohno left."
She walked over to the door and could hear someone coming up the stairs. She opened the door and saw it was her grandmother. "Is Mari in there?" Aine asked her. Aisling nodded and left the room so Aine and Mari could talk.
Aisling walked down the hall and passed her father's study. She stopped and looked at the closed door. "Wait didn't they left town to meet Merrick..."
She frowned and wanted to ask her grandmother but instead got her cell phone out. She called her father first she wondered if he would be angry when he finds out that she met Merrick. She didn't hear her father's voice instead it was the voice mail. She sighed and left a message. She called her mother's cell and the same thing happen. The same foreboding feeling came again when her parents left the hospital. Like something bad was going to happen...or it already had.
She shook her head, she was going to her bedroom changed her mind and went into her father's study. The room was fairly large but cramped with stacks of old books. There were book cases but they were filled and her father preferred to be literally surrounded by books. She made her way to the desk and tried not to knock down the stacks of books. She stood in front of the desk and saw one book was set in the middle. She picked it up and opened it.
Aisling almost jump when she saw a picture of a crow and a dark haired woman. She shook her head and flip the pages. She found a page that was bookmarked and saw a picture of a monstrous spider. I guess Da was doing research... , she thought and then put the book back on the desk.
She left the room and was back in the hallway. I wonder if Emiko and Ryuu have gone to the school yet, Aisling thought. I should go to. I'll ask if Mari wants go to.
She walked back to Mari's room and saw Aine walking into the hallway. "Where are you going?" Aine asked Aisling.
"I think I should go back to the school," Aisling said. "There's still ghosts at the school."
"Ah! That's right," Mari said coming out of the hallway. "I forgot about that."
Aine frowned. "I don't think it's wise for you to go tonight."
"Why?"
The red haired angel hesitated, "Because you're still training and I don't think it's a good idea for Mari to go out yet." She looked at the blond haired girl. "I would like to start training her as soon as possible."
Aisling blinked, "Oh okay...but I wanted to fight in the real world."
"You can train in the room I created down in the cellar."
"Okay,' Aisling said nodding and walk away. She went to the kitchen and found the door that led to the cellar. She walked down the stairs and found a door that wasn't there before. She opened it and found the training area similar to one in Sanctuary. She walked into the center and summoned her Card Spirits. "Okay let's get started."
~*~
Aine looked at Mari. "Would you like to start training now or do you want to start in the morning?"

Merrick stared down at the city, leaning on a metal pole. He twirled three crystal balls in one hand gracefully. He was on the roof of a very tall building. It the hotel he was staying at.
He twirled the crystals and watched how the city lights reflect off the spheres. He took one of them and held it up to his face. He stared at the clear surface and then it clouded until the sphere was a smoky gray color than an image of a dark haired woman with piercing black eyes stared back at him. "Hello Morrigan," Merrick said smiling brightly at the image of the Fallen woman. "I hope things are going smoothly."
"You're information was correct," Morrigan said smirking. "I had thought it was impossible but you were right about the key."
"Of course," Merrick said chuckling. "I knew my idea worked when I notice the decline in Messenger angels. I guess he likes them?"
"Yes he finds them delicious but he still wants more. So we have to keep him sealed most of the time."
"You know it wouldn't be easy," Merrick said grinning. "But I believe it's worth it for the plan."
"Indeed," Morrigan said. "My sisters are complaining about looking after you're captives."
"Well I can't look after them myself I had to meet with my dear niece."
"Ah her..." The Fallen narrowed her eyes in disgust. "She's getting stronger that little brat."
"She is but she's no match for Danmah I assure you."
Morrigan said nothing.
"It's getting late and I need my beauty sleep," Merrick said covering his mouth to yawn. "Say goodnight to my brother for me."
