~*Rina*~
Mom had left for the night again, and I couldn’t sleep worth anything. I felt eyes on me and I couldn’t take it anymore. I looked out my window and saw some kids walking into a house a few doors down from me. Everyone else's lights were off, and I didn’t know where else to turn. Even though it was late, at least I could maybe even meet a few people and escape this house for a few minutes. I quickly got dressed and threw on some shoes and walked slowly towards the house. I heard yelling, like arguing. “Maybe this is a bad time…oh well.” I knocked anyway. I was desperate.
“Hello.” A boy answered the door.
“Hi, you know that house right there?” I pointed. “Well, I just moved there, my name is Rina.” I laughed.
“Oh hi, My name is Ryuu. Ryuu Yuki.” He said.
“Am I interrupting something? I’ll leave if I am.”
“Oh, no it’s fine come in. I have some friends over if you want to meet them.”
“I don’t want to intrude…” I said hesitating a little.
“No it’s fine.” He repeated.
“Well, ok.” I smiled.
“Alright.” I followed him in, only to see some kids, they all looked up at me. “This is my new neighbor Rina. This is Emiko, Aisling, and Puck.”
“Am I blind? I only see 2 people.”
“Really?”
“Yeah 1,2.” I counted.
“Ok.” He didn't turn around to look.
“You already think I’m crazy, maybe I should go then.” I turned to leave.
“Oh no, you don’t have to go, just tell me who you aren’t seeing.” I looked at them and thought about their names.
“Um, I think, the boy…”
“Wait…” He looked around. “He’s not even in the room. Aisling, where did he go?”
“I didn’t realize he slipped out of the room either.”
“Well gee, I didn’t think I was that scary.” I laughed.
“Aisling he’s your…brother. I’ll go find him.” Ryuu walked off. I smiled at the others.
“I thought I was crazy for a second, not like I’m not.” I grinned. It was nice to finally talk to people my own age.
“Puck get out of my room!” I heard.
“Do they, get along?” I asked.
“Yep.”
“Oh…”
“Make me, squirt!”
“Last time I checked I was taller than you.” I didn’t hear anything, then I heard a thud. “When I say get out of my room, I mean it.”
“Oh no, are they ok?” I asked.
“Yeah, they should be ok, don’t worry. I’m Emiko.” She smiled.
“So obviously that makes me Aisling.” The other girl smiled as well.
“Nice to meet you.” I replied. Then Ryuu appeared and pulled a boy into the room.
“Right, Rina this is Puck. Puck this is Rina my new next door neighbor.”
“Uh, hi? Was I that scary that you had to run off?” I asked.
“No, I didn’t even know you were here to be honest. Once Ryuu left to answer the door I started wondering.”
“Oh, I see, uh…” Well, this was awkward. Ryuu whispered something to Puck.
“Sorry about that.” Puck said. I blinked.
“That’s ok. Just try not to hide when I come over next time.” I chuckled. Aisling burst out laughing.
“Alright?” Puck said awkwardly.
“So, since you all are hanging out, I’ll go get out of your hair.” I smiled.
“Oh no, it’s alright. You can hang out here for a bit, I don’t mind.” He walked over to the one girl and said something to her. They kissed and I blushed and looked away. “I’ll be back, I’m just going to go up to my room for a few minutes.” I sat on the floor.
“Are you sure, it’s really late…”
“It’s ok, don’t worry.” He turned and went out of the room.
“So, how old are you guys?” I looked around.
