“I’m so glad you don’t think I’m crazy. My mom just laughs at me when I tell her what goes on. She doesn’t believe me,” Rina told us. I felt so badly for her. I knew how she felt. My parents never believe me either. They thought I making it up, and then when I decided to go into the profession, oh boy was there a fight.
“We believe you, and we’ll help,” Mari grinned, assuring her.
“Thank you so much,” Rina exclaimed happily.
"How can we not believe you?" I asked. "I'm pretty sure you didn't just try to hurt yourself up there."
She nodded. "So, what's our first step?"
I sighed and exchanged glances with Ryuu. "Well, we should probably set up the equipment," I answered. "It's a slow process, but we'll figure this out, Rina."
Ryuu and I headed out to the van to retrieve the cameras and other equipment we would need.
"What do you think it is?" I asked him.
"Probably a demon," he answered, looking over at me.
"Yes, but what does it want with Rina?" I wondered aloud.
Ryuu shrugged. "I don't know. But, we've got to hurry and figure out how to kill it or we risk putting her and her family in danger."
I nodded. "I know." I grabbed everything I could and headed back inside to finish the job.
