“Technically we have two options,” Ryuu said suddenly.
“What are the options?” I asked, giving him a credulous look.
“You shouldn’t look at me like that Em, I’m trying to hold down my raging hormones,” Ryuu told me.
I chuckled. Who said I wanted him to hold down those hormones? Man, I had been hanging out with Elle too much. That was something she would say.
“Anyways the first potion is actually using Rina as a lure to try and get it to come out, and the second option is for me to try and call it out,” he offered.
Silence slipped between us as I thought about the options. Using Rika as bait would be risky, but it could work. Rina, as far as I knew, didn't have any special abilities like Ryuu or I had. If she got captured, and we couldn't get to her, she could get seriously hurt.
I looked up at Ryuu. "But, would you be able to handle calling them out? What about the mark? I mean, your dad wanted us to go to him and get that mark removed, and we never did. What if you become possessed again? What if the seal breaks?"
Ryuu rushed to my side and grabbed my hands, holding them. He looked me deeply in the eyes. "Hey, hey, I'm fine."
I looked up at him. "Ryuu, I can't bare to watch you become possessed again. If you are going to call out the demon, I need you to promise me nothing bad will happen."
He hesitated. He didn't want to promise me something he might not be able to keep. I respected him for not just telling me what I wanted to hear. His honesty with me made me love him all the more.
"Should we tell the others? See what they think?" I asked him.
