While Rina got an ice bag for her head Mari appeared with Nino and Matsu. Nino talked about Emiko about her training and the two shamans were introduced to Rina.
There was a bang that startled everyone. Then there was a flash of light and Brant appeared deflected the attack or whatever it was. As soon as he suddenly appeared he was gone but I knew he was right outside. I looked around and realized something was wrong.
“Oh hey, does anyone want drinks, um, would anyone like to help me?” Ryuu asked acting casual as to not alarm Rina.
"I will," Rina volunteered.
“No, please, it’s ok, just sit and relax, Aisling, would you maybe help me please?” I nodded and followed Ryuu into the kitchen.
"Do you guys realized what happened?" Puck asked standing behind us and Ryuu headed to the door that lead outside.
"Yeah it felt something like it before." He opened the door.
And I was right about that feeling, we were transported into another dimension. The house and everyone in it. The sky looked strangely colored and there were no houses or anything. "At least we're not in limbo," Puck muttered. "Or worse..."
I noticed Brant was facing a man who must have sent that spell.
"Who are you?" Ryuu questioned him.
"I'm Kuro must be the moratorium that I heard so much about.” He said.
“What are you then?” Ryuu asked.
“I’m…” The man stopped to block an attack from Brant “You’re a terrier card spirit, just like that other one.”
“So you’re the one that changed puck into a human?” Ryuu asked.
I blinked, What?
“That’s right.” He said and pushed Brant back. “You’ll be so much easier to handle if I do the same to you.” The man said and used some kind of spell at Brant.
When the spell hit there was a loud explosive sound.
"Brant!" Puck and I hurried over to him and when the smoke disperse there was a young man with bandages around his eye. And Brant's sword in his hand.
So that man did change Puck into human and now Brant. "Aw....," said Puck. "I liked being the only one." Brant gave him a you idiot look.
It was nice seeing his face and now I could read his expressions instead using the empathic link. "Are you okay Brant?"
Brant nodded and stood up. We went back into the house. "What's going on?!" Rina demanded. "What happened and who's that guy?! A friend of yours?"
"Not that I know of," Nino said glaring darkly at the man named Kuro. It looked like he was ready to get his spirit gun out.
"I think it's okay Nino," Ryuu said. "It looks like he doesn't have enough energy to fight."
Kuro sat down in the chair and Emiko asked, "So who and what are you?"
