"I’ll go and get the extra blankets and pillows that we have,” Ryuu said and went back into the house. I was going to follow him, but I turned and looked at Kuro, who was discussing things with Nino and Matsu. What was it about him that stood out so much to me?
"Kuro," I started. "Have we met before?" I asked him bluntly.
He didn't even look surprised by my question. He seemed to feel the same way I did. "I don't know," he answered honestly. "Not that I can remember, though."
I nodded and turned and went into the house to find Ryuu. I found him counting the blankets and sleeping bags he had in the closet. I must have walked in with a dazed look on my face because when he glanced up, a look of worry immediately crossed his features.
"Em?" Ryuu asked. "What's wrong? You've been out of it since we arrived here, which is understandable, but I would have thought you'd be used to the weird by now."
"Can you do me a favor?" I asked him.
He frowned. "Anything."
I took a deep breath. "Can you peer into my mind and go way back and see if there are any memories of Kuro there?" I asked him.
He furrowed his brows. "What? Why? What's going on?"
I shook my head. "I don't really know, but I keep getting this feeling that I know Kuro, that we've met before, but neither of us remember seeing each other before. I can't just let it go either. I have this feeling that just won't leave. Can you help me?" I asked him pleadingly.
