Memories

-Ryuu-

I’ve never went into someone’s memory before but it was worth a shot. I didn’t want Emiko to keep looking so sad and in a daze all the time. “Sure.” I nodded. “I’m going to have you lay on the couch because I’m not to sure what’s going to happen.” I told her.

“Alright.” She said and went over to the couch and sat down.

“Sit, lay it doesn’t matter as long as your on the couch.” I shrugged and stepped over the blankets and sleeping bags and got over to the couch and sat next to her. “Now I’m not to sure what is going to happen, I’ve never done this before.” I told her and motioned for her to turn towards me.

She shifted so she was facing me. “It’s okay, it’s worth a shot at least.” She smiled at me.

I couldn’t help but kiss her soft lips lightly then pulled away. Then I put both my hands on her head and brought forehead to touch hers. My mind instantly started weaving through her memories. ‘I need to get deeper.’ I thought and kind of pushed through that mental wall the she had placed up around the section of her childhood. The time before we even met. ‘Why did you put that up Em?’ I asked but I really didn’t think I was going to get a response from her at this point.

Once I got through scenery surrounded me and it looked like I was in a yard. “Where am I?” I muttered to myself as I walked around.

A ball went rolling past my feet and I followed it to see a little girl probably around 8 or 9 years old laughing as she picked up the ball and started running with it.

“No Emiko you’re not supposed to pick it up. That’s not what you do in soccer.” I looked to where the voice was coming from and my eyes widened when I saw Kuro walking past me towards Emiko.

“But what if I say I’m the goalie?” She asked.

“Then you can touch it with your hands.” He told her.

“Big brother, can we play something else?” She asked looking up at him.

He looked the same age as how we saw him a few minuets ago. “Sure what do you want to play?” He asked.

“Tag, your it.” She laughed and dropped the ball and ran.

“Come here you.” He laughed and slowly jogged around following her.

“You can’t catch me.” She stuck her tongue out at him and ran in the road.

My heart started to pound when I looked down the road and saw a car coming. “Emiko get out of the road!” I yelled but she couldn’t hear me, no one could.

“EMIKO!” Kuro screamed and ran out in the road as fast as he could. I saw him grab Emiko and turn his back to the car that was screeching its breaks to stop.

Kuro stood up with Emiko in his arms to get out of the way but the car hit his lower back and he and Emiko went skidding across the road from the impact. He kept a tight grip on Emiko by to looks of it then the back of his head slammed into the sidewalk and he went limp. I couldn’t say anything, all I did was run towards them.

“Brother…please wake up.” Emiko said quietly at first shaking him a little.

He slowly opened his eye’s and smile a little at Emiko. “I love you…” he whispered to her then the emotion in his eyes faded.

“Big brother…” Emiko said as tears swelled up in her eyes “KURO!” She screamed and started crying.

Everything faded to black and I opened my eyes and my hands fell to my lap. “Emiko…” I whispered and some tears started sliding down her cheeks.

“Hey…what’s wrong with Emiko?” Kuro asked as I looked up at him.

I didn’t want to tell him it was up to Emiko if she wants to tell him or not.
