I stood there in shock. I didn’t know what to do. Emiko was my sister? Of course that would explain the similarities in appearance between us. But…she was the reason I was dead?
“How did I die?” I asked in a more quiet voice. I wasn’t mad at her or anyone, I just wanted to have some answers.
“I…” Emiko chocked and she started sobbing.
I stepped closer to her and wrapped my arms around her again. “It’s alright Em, I’m here, that’s what matters right?” I tried to comfort her.
“B-but…” She mumbled between sobs as she buried her face into my shirt.
“I’ll find out eventually what happened Em, And I’m your brother why would I be mad at you?” I asked her with a serious expression on my face.
“But…I was the one that killed you…” She said then Ryuu stood up.
“Emiko you weren’t the one that killed him.” Ryuu stated.
“Wait…How does he know?” I asked really confused.
“My father is Asa.” He answered.
That would explain it. Asa was a twilight demon. Which meant he could go into a persons mind.
“Yes, I was. I ran out into the stupid road when there was a car coming.” She cried.
Flashes went through my mind of me running out into the road and picking up Emiko. Then I remember looking at her one last time and everything went black.
“Em…I don’t blame you, I never will.” I said brushing some of the hair out of her face and tucking it behind her ear.
