Ryuu and I made our way down into the kitchen to see if we could do something about food for everyone. We would be stuck here for at least a day. We needed to let Kuro recuperate so he could get us back properly.
I opened up the cupboards and saw that they were really pretty bare, save for a few items that would be useable. The kitchen was stocked, so that helped a lot. "You really need to stock your shelves. You might get tossed into another dimension and have to feed a lot of people," I teased.
He chuckled. "Maybe you should come with me then when we get back to go shopping so I know what I should have stocked up for such an occasion," he smirked as he grabbed a few items down from a top shelf that I wasn't able to reach.
"Sounds like a date," I smiled and went and grabbed the things we would need out of the fridge and placed them on the counter. "I hope you know what you're doing, because I don't," I shook my head. I never had been much of a cook. I didn't make food a whole lot because I worked so much.
Ryuu gave me a big smile. "I cook for myself plenty, so I think I can handle it. You just hand me the things I ask for, deal?"
I nodded, hopping up onto the counter beside him, organizing the food so I'd be able to grab them easily. The back door opened then and Aisling walked in. "Oh, hey, Aisling!" I waved over at her.
"Kuro said I should come in and help. Anything I can do?" she asked, coming over to the counter to see what Ryuu was making.
"You want to see if we have enough dishes to feed everyone?" Ryuu asked. "It's over there, in that cupboard," he gestured to a cupboard a few feet away from my head.
"Okay," she nodded, and we all got real busy with our own things. I couldn't help but think that in our future, if Ryuu and I ever lived together, this would be how our evenings would be spent. I smiled at the thought.
Ryuu must have caught my sudden grin because he looked at me with a questioning look. I shook my head, too embarrassed to say what I had been thinking out loud.
