shades of purple
If some can remember, I uploaded a new Saiyuki Reload wallpaper entitled "shades of purple". It was just a simple school project, but the concept of it somehow amazed a few people from AP and MT. They even gave me a few advice.

Hmmm...
I saw the process pic. Your extraction is very good. Nice clean one. Your choice of extraction, based on your post, is apt for the theme you want to convey. You've also taken into consideration The Rule Of Thirds. As I can see in your placement of the character and the text, they fall within the lines of interest. No problems in that department.
With regards to the background, I'm not particularly fond of abstract. I understand your message clearly but there's something that I think must be solved. You wanted to convey a solemn, gloomy atmosphere, but the background still looks too bright for that, though the color may seem ok. If you could, putting a much darker tone at the right side of the wall (creating a spotlight on the character) might make it more solemn...

I think you did a nice job with the extraction. For me though Im not to fond of the purple hue over Goku. I think it would have worked better if you would have left him like he was. Also I agree with °PaoPorsche with the color of the background. It's a bit too bright of a purple to convey a daker moment. The original color in the scan again would have worked great. Maybe even making it a tad bit darker. Not too much because than I think it will be too much. Instead of the hue over Goku maybe try it out as a nice glow behind him on the darker color purple. Can't wait too see this finished and in the gallery!

Well, what can I say, Ate Josephine. I think PaoPorsche pretty much took the words right out of my mouth. I agree with his idea, a spotlight focusing on Goku would be nice with a dark purple background, steeply gradiating into orange and yellow as it gets really close to Goku, to add some contrast and to introduce a second and third hue into the composition.

Beautiful. This piece is quite simple, yet favorable. The theme is very artistic, I must say. Also, Goku's pose here is quite perfect, and it's like he's holding the flowers at first glance. Which is, to me, fantastic! But in my point of view, It'd be better to not show his hands at the bottom( So that he'd certainly look like he's holding the flowers). But maybe it's not what you are meaning to do. Anyway, it does hit the theme 'spiritual'. Keep it up!

kicking things up
Woot! Its been a while since I last made a post. I'm so happy today since this today's the start of our sembreak. Our classes will return on November 3. So I'll be taking the chance to rest for a while. Do some writings on my notebook in advance. And if possible, make a few wallpapers.
Last Saturday, me together with 12 classmates, went to SM San Lazaro to get an application form for a scholarship sponsored by SM. I'm happy because we all managed to get one for each of us. We are all now official applicants for scholarship!!!
Earlier, during taekwondo practice, a friend of mine mentioned a varsity scholarship on a university. I might as well try it out. Though, the course I want is not offered there.
Tomorrow, I'll be leaving to go different college universities and inquire myself for some entrance examinations. I got my first exam on MAPUA having the course Multimedia Arts and Sciences on November 13. That's my dream course since the jobs one can be are photographer, advertiser, and my favorite: graphic artist. I hope I can pass on MAPUA. Good luck to me.
Wallpaper Thief!
I was searching for a few Fairy Tail images and suddenly this site somehow bothered me
If you'll notice the wallpaper gallery, the wallpapers offered there are from this site. What angers me the most is that despite we have put our signatures in the wallpaper, they still posted it there and even put their site logo!
What a bunch of bastards they are! Take a look on my sakura memories and summer sweetheart there... their stupid logo watermark ruins my mood!!!
This is one of the things that I fear of. Getting your work posted by someone without your permission and CLAIMING THAT THEY MADE IT!!!! They even posted it there despite the signature.
I'm not the only one who suffers from this... those other artists too. We should be given proper credit.

I went to my classmate's house today to make our project on designing a bottle using mini-origami. After a few chitchat, she mentioned a Psychological Test she heard from a friend of hers in church activities. She asked me a few questions. Here goes:

2. The tree blocking your way represents PROBLEMS. (Since I answered "I'll get rid of it", then I face my problems with all my guts.)
