just a world about everything happening in my life and about some things that I find interesting

"sh*tty cops" and "major major"

I still can't get over with the police who "rescued" the foreign tourists in the 8-23-2010 Hostage Taking (read my previous post).

I think those police should go back in training. So here's one good way of retraining:

police training... Filipino-style

This morning before going to school, I managed to watch Miss Universe 2010. I'm glad that Miss Philippines Venus Raj became one of the top 5 and ended as 4th runner-up. I still can't get over with her answer in the Q&A portion. I forgot everything she answered but her "major major" thing was the most notable. In my opinion, if she hadn't mentioned that, she would have ended up higher than being fourth.

Bur I find her answer very cute (it made me smile) and very Filipino-style. I'm still proud of her.

8-23-2010 Hostage Taking Drama

Earlier in school, we were just studying about disasters and unwanted events like bomb threats and kidnapping. I just got home this 7:20 (or maybe almost 8 p.m.) when I saw in the news that there was a hostage taking drama at Quirino Grandstand. The hostage taking began (if I'm not mistaken) by 9-11 a.m.

An ex-policeman with an M-16 abducted a bus filled with mostly tourists (I heard that there are Korean, Australian, etc.). Estimated of 25 people, including a few children. The hostage taker released the children and a few passengers (that was earlier, when I was still at school).

But when I got home, only 15 passengers are left. The police were forced to attack (but I don't see it as an advantage since the police acted so stupidly since they're like afraid of getting hurt!). How it ended? The hostage taker was killed by the sniper but a moment of continuous gunshots occurred. Some of the passengers were hit by the bullets. And when the police got in, they found out that some of the passengers were already dead.

All of the 15 passengers got their dose of gunshots (and I feel so mad at the stupid policemen) and I'm afraid that all of them might die. It's a relief to know that there could be possible survivors. According to a reporter, if you can see the bus itself, its looks like a slaughter house. Very creepy but still I feel sorry for the passengers.

The hostage crisis ended very cruel and I feel disappointed since our policemen looked like they're not knowledgeable in these kind of situations.

Wow! Its been just one month since I joined DevArt and I'm happy because some people really appreciate my stupid-looking works. I originally joined DA because I want to see more beautiful resource scenarios and fave them (I don't want to download pics that immediately since my USB is almost full)...

My recent deviations are these cards:

Super Size Me

We were assigned to make a reaction paper about the documentary film "Super Size Me". I just finished watching it via YouTube and the reaction paper itself. I never knew that eating in a fastfood (which sounds simple) actually had a deeper meaning in it.

Simply amazing!

its up to part 10, available in YouTube
