such a nice dedication I got today:
Apparently, there is a storm (again) in the country. June is the season of rain here in the Philippines and its no longer a news for upcoming typhoons/storms/etc... Since yesterday, its been raining heavy, floods everywhere, and the winds are strong. Its happening until now. And its freezing cold! BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yesterday, I went to school and there is a light rain. The whether became fine but then in the afternoon, light rain came back and later became a strong one. We were supposed to have a welcome walk for freshmen in our university. But then it was cancelled. I later realized that classes on all levels were suspended. In the Philippines, storms level are defined through signals. Signal # 1 will suspend Elementary below. Signal # 2 will suspend High School and below. Signal # 3 will suspend College and below, also might suspend some laborers as well. Signal # 4 is... common sense. Sadly, since I'm college, I have to suffer the hassle of going to school despite strong storm.
Good thing that our classes were suspended. But going home was another issue. Some of my classmates decided to stay in the university. But I insisted to go early. Sadly, my umbrella was damaged by the strong wind. Good thing I was wearing a jacket but my bag got wet :'(
Its really hard for me. Traveling to that university of mine is already almost an hour. And its hard to ride on certain vehicles (jeepney) during bad weathers. A lot of people rush and jeepneys tend to get fully loaded of passengers. Heavy ran also causes traffic so the time of travel is getting longer.
Yesterday, the first jeepney I went on was easy. But it took me almost an hour before I could ride on the second jeep. Luckily, that second jeep still had space for one more passenger. I did my best to quickly come inside because a lot of people were also finding it difficult to ride.
After the ride on the second jeepney, it was really a massive rain. I had no choice but to ride a tricycle on a "special" mode. It will be special if you want to travel already and not wait for other passengers to ride in, the price is also higher than the usual. Before I went to the tricycle park, I had to walk through the flood caused by the rain... my poor shoes and feet! So I spent money that I was not really comfortable with. It was against my will but I had no choice.
After all those hassles, I managed to get home safely. I heard that some of my classmates were stranded. I also heard that flood even went inside the university... which actually is never a news to me as well. That's what I hate so much in our university. But I'm glad to know that all of my classmates were able to go home safely. We have no classes for tomorrow!!!! YAY!!!!! :)))))))))
