I found an old post of mine on Tumblr which was about Color Psychology last year. I just thought maybe I should share it with you guys :D
Earlier in class, our Theology professor told us to pick a color that can represent us in whole and he will tell us what those colors mean. I chose red… and don’t kill me just because I actually took notes on the red and orange one! I don’t think I was able to remember every single detail of each but I listened very well because it was interesting. Descriptions are in random okay?
GREEN
- compassionate
- easy to approach when you have a problem
- they absorb negative aura and makes you feel better
ORANGE
- sexual chakra
- friendship/easy to make friends
- can’t be alone
- sensuality
- intimacy
- attention seeker
- flamboyant
- creativity
- easy to burn out/easy to get out of focus
- in love, they tend to find thrill
- good at organizing/conceptualizing
BLUE
- loyalty
- in love, they are stupid lol, that’s what my prof said especially when it comes to breakups… their loyalty to their lover ex-lover is making them hope that there’s still another chance or something like that
YELLOW
- people who use their minds over matter
- in love, they also use their minds… they don’t say I feel I love you but rather I think I love you
- they can analyze if you are lying to them
RED
- color of survival
- if orange can’t be without people, red can be left alone
- hot-headed
- like orange, they are good at organizing and conceptualizing
- they can only plan, but can’t/don’t want to do the actual work
- impulsive
- hard to please
- can’t stand on the same thing again and again/they like variations
- they always want excitement especially in love
- good at multitasking but sometimes find it hard to finish one
VIOLET
- they think very broadly/very ahead… e.g. when a group of boys are drinking, they’d be talking about sports, girls, random stuff and suddenly this person will go off topic by saying things about life in general
- because of their mindset, it’s quite hard to understand why they said/did such things
- they tend to be sacrificial especially when it comes to love
BLACK
- they tend to justify things they’ve done wrong
- on a special day (birthday for example), they don’t prefer to be greeted on that day… they’d appreciate if you greeted them a day before or a day after
- in love, they’re not into traditional stuff like going on a restaurant on your anniversary, they’d prefer to do something else…
GREY
- reliable in doing all the hard work… if red/orange is good at organizing, then grey can do the overall work needed
PINK
- the color of success
- recommended to wear it along with your favorite color… I’ll wear a pink blouse with a red design when I’ll be defending my thesis in the future… his students did that and they all succeeded! 8D
WHITE
- since white is the source of all the colors, the positive and negative sides of all colors are possessed by the person
- because of that, these people’s personality are quite hard to predict/understand/figure out
That's about it :) In short, I just want to share that when you have an important mission to do, wear pink and your favorite color :P Hahahaha... This is what I love in my course actually. I'll be sharing interesting stuff to you guys when I have time.
Useless Update: I'm going broke again because we have a lot of stuff to buy. That's normal in our course lol. At least I'm having legit reasons to buy magazines and books about art. I'm currently having a hard time to find a nice book about Typography and Typefaces since our professor did not give any specific title. I'm currently practicing my photography skills and refreshing some art techniques to get me ready for the whole semester.
Peace out!
