So now I'm on my Christmas break and I'm at least trying to have some rest I need. The previous weeks have been very tiring and got me sleepless for days.
Painting, doing advertisement concepts, struggling with Illustrator and crying because my money is literally flying to the sky every time I buy materials have been the story so far.
But the fun started 3 days ago when our section was assigned with Civil Law to create a float for them in a parade scheduled on Friday (yesterday). Some sections in College of Fine Arts and Design (CFAD) are also assigned to other colleges and these colleges will compete for the best float. Disney was the theme.
There are a few unfair rants coming from us but we just kept our mouth shut since the Civil law are providing the money for the materials. Still, we really had no help from them :(
But it's fine because the float we made was very beautiful (and literally floating). The original plan was to actually have the house floating and supported by ropes so it won't fly away but we thought the house we made was too big and 300 balloons aren't enough to carry it. So we shifted the plan that instead of making it float, we'll just carry it instead. But thank God, when we lifted it, we felt it was literally floating! The balloons were a success :"D It was a success to the point that the chimney was damaged lol (besides, we were able to finish the float a few minutes after the parade started so we're so late)
After the parade was the annual Paskuhan (a university wide Christmas party) and I was with my brother and grandmother this year. And as expected, the fireworks were total bad ass.
Still I have so many things to do:
- loads of advertisement paintings
- finish a self caricature on Illustrator (well, good luck Josephine haha)
- and Panorama/HDR travel photography (I will leave tomorrow to do that)
So now in my 2 week vacation, I will still be busy. Don't worry since I can find time to do my Secret Santa gifts. Wish me luck and advanced happy holidays to all :)
