Welcome to Pokemon Cupboard, a world for fans of all things Pokemon!
This is a world where I’ll be posting various things about the Pokemon franchise. Here I plan to talk about some of my favorite Pokemon, favorite locations in the games, perhaps reminisce about playing the games or my favorite episodes of the anime, and maybe much more.
About Me
I got into Pokemon during the mid to late nineties. At first didn’t want anything to do with Pokemon. Back then it was part of my nature to rebel against all things popular. But my opinion about Pokemon changed significantly after seeing the first four or five episodes of the anime. I got into the series and soon wanted to play the games. That Christmas I believe I had received a Gamboy Color and the Blue version of the Pokemon game.
Eventually I also played the Red and Yellow versions, mostly to see how they differed from Blue. I played the games that followed up until Ruby and Sapphire. At that point the anime had started to go downhill. I really didn’t like it when they replaced Misty with that girl May and her annoying little brother Max (god how I loath him). The games started to lose their appeal too. I didn’t like how Ruby and Sapphire didn’t have a lot of the Pokemon from previous games. Of course at the time I didn’t realize that they were going to do remakes of the first generation games.
Still, by that point I was no longer as into Pokemon as I once was. My focus had turned more to Yu-Gi-Oh! and other things. But I still keep tabs on the Pokemon franchise. I think that the anime is a lost cause, but I have read about the newer games, some of which actually look pretty good. I’m also currently working on a Pokemon Fan Fiction project. So in short I’m basically an old-school Pokemon fan.

My interest in Pokemon ebbs every now and then. So to make things more fun and keep this world alive, I’m going to allow other Pokemon fans here on TheO to post things here. So like me you could post things about your favorite Pokemon or talk about your favorite anime episodes. But you can do so much more too.
- If you play the games, you could use this world as sort of a journal and share your adventure with everyone. It doesn’t have to be the mainstream Pokemon games either; it could be Pokemon Conquest or one of the consol games.
- Another use for this world could be to post Pokemon fanfics you may have created. Or perhaps share the profiles of your Pokemon OCs (if you have any).
- Maybe you have some big Pokemon related art project you want to share. You could use this world to chronicle its creation.
You could do all that and much, much more. As long as it has to do with Pokemon, the sky’s the limit. So if you’re interested in becoming a guest poster, or maybe just have a few questions, please contact me via comment or PM and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

Well, it’s time once again for another one of my Interesting Specimen posts. For this week I thought I’d talk about a Pokemon that is not just out of this world, but out of this universe as well, the Unown.

So, I trained. A whole lot. And it still feels like it's amounted to nothing. But after training all my Pokemon to level 25, I went to the Burnt Tower, where my rival was waiting. His Pokemon were no trouble at all, so that was quick and easy. I talked to Eusine, who has spent his whole life searching for Suicune, who just happened to reside in the basement of this tower with Entei and Raikou. But, being an absolute dumbass, Eusine just sat around while I waltzed down to the basement. The Legendary Beasts Hamsters scattered, but not before Suicune stopped by to give me a hello, which made Eusine a bit jealous.
I attempted to take the Ecruteak gym challenge, but, while I breezed through the gym trainers, rather regrettably, Morty took out my Pokemon rather easily. However, this is easily explained by the fact that everyone on my team sans Vivi had basically USELESS moves against his Pokemon. Robin and Chopper have all Normal-Type movesets, Zoro's only non-Normal move is Rock Throw, and, because all Morty's Pokemon have Poison as their second type, Nami's PoisonPowder is useless and Magical Leaf might as well be. So I've decided to train everyone up to level 30 before taking Morty on again.
While training, Robin evolved into an Espeon! ^^ Yeah, had you all fooled, didn't I? ;p Kidding, kidding, but yes, I've decided to use an Espeon, though I'm a bit upset that Robin won't learn a Psychic type move until level 36. Also, instead of trying to remember what moveset changes I have or haven't mentioned, I'm just going to list my entire team's movesets here:
Nami:
Tackle, Synthesis, Magical Leaf, PoisonPowder
Zoro:
Slam, Rock Throw, Rage, Screech
Vivi:
Ember, Confuse Ray, Flamethrower, Quick Attack
Chopper:
Uproar, SonicBoom, Quick Attack, Supersonic
Robin:
Tail Whip, Swift, Quick Attack, Sand-Attack
Now that Vivi has learned Flamethrower, I'm going to evolve her as soon as I get my hands on a Fire Stone. I believe that I already have registered the kid who gives you the Fire Stone in my Pokegear, so it's just a matter of waiting until he finds it.
And that's everything for now! Next time, I'll hopefully have beat Morty and his manscarf into the ground. ^^ Ciao~!

I apologize in advance for the blandness of this post, but honestly, all I did was train my Eevee. Tons and tons of random encounters. And Hoothoot. A lot of frickin Hoothoot. And Robin still hasn't learned any new attacking moves besides Tackle (though she now has Sand-Attack and Growl in place of Helping Hand). IT'S TORTURE I TELL YOU. I can't wait for her to evolve...
And...yeah, that's it. I'm thinking that I'll get all my Pokemon to level 25 before I take on Morty. But probably tomorrow I'll go into the Burned Tower and activate CUTSCENES OF EPIC oh and more Silver <3
I apologize again for the absolute nothingness...But hey, at least I managed to get Robin to a decent level! :D
Ciao~!

Yeah, to be perfectly fair, I really didn't do much today. I've been meaning to do some hardcore training and just, well, didn't. Whoops. Perhaps tomorrow.
But here's a quick rundown of what I did do. Basically, I plodded through the National Park, fought all the trainers, and then got to the Sudowoodo blocking the way to Ecruteak City. I caught the Sudowoodo mostly because it's the only one in the game, but I don't really plan to use it. Afterwards, I had an embarrassing battle experience with two "beauties" whose Wigglytuff and Clefable were FRICKIN TANKS, and I got to Ecruteak. OH. BEFORE I FORGET. I replaced Nami's Razor Leaf with Magical Leaf because it's more powerful and never misses. MOVING ON.
At Ecruteak, I met with Bill, who just decided he was going to tell me his life story and walk away. Being a creepy stalker, I followed him back to his place in Goldenrod. AND THE RESETTING BEGAN. I hate how it's an 85% chance that Eevee will be male. I hate how it's like that with the starters, too. I know it's because the programmers don't really want breeding, but a) a lot of Pokemon, Eevee and Chikorita for example, don't look like they'd be mostly male, and b) FRUKING. DITTO. We're gonna clone them if we damn well please anyway, so give me a proper gender ratio so I don't have to reset my game twenty million times to get a female Eevee!
Actually, on my first playthrough, I got a female Eevee on my first try...
But yes, Robin has now joined the team. As you can see, I didn't even start the grueling training process. What is she going to evolve into? Well, you'll just have to find out! But here's a hint: My favorite Pokemon ever is Umbreon. And if you read my first part carefully, you'll know what to make of that hint.
Well, that's all I did today. Yeah. But since I'm here, I'd like to put something related but not quite here. I had a dream last night that involved a few Pokemon characters, including Saturn and Mars from Gen IV. But the thing I remember most is walking into their hideout and Petrel, of all people, walking up and giving me a hug.
...uh, Petrel? Like, creepy purple-haired Team Rocket guy? Hugging me? ...and it was actually kinda sweet of him? Oh god, expect to hear a lot of this when we actually meet him in this playthrough. I do love Petrel though...BUT WHY DIDN'T PROTON HUG ME?! No offense, Petrel, darling... ^^; (takes her villains too seriously)
And that's all for now. Ciao~!
